Abstract: 공간적 스케일러블 비디오 부호화 및 복호화의 압축 효율을 향상시키기 위한 템플릿, 템플릿의 생성 방법, 상기 템플릿을 사용하는 영상 복호화 장치 및 방법이 제공된다. 현재 블록에 대응하는 하위 레이어의 정보를 업샘플링함으로써 현재 블록에 대응하는 정보가 생성되고, 생성된 정보에 기반하여 템플릿이 생성된다. 템플릿은 현재 블록에 대응하는 정보를 갖고 있기 때문에, 이러한 템플릿을 사용하여 움직임 벡터를 계산함으로써 압축 효율이 향상될 수 있다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A video information decoding method, a video decoding method, and a device using the same are provided to express the extraction and scalability information within the hierarchical bitstream. CONSTITUTION: A parsing unit receives a network abstraction layer (NAL) unit including the information related to encoded image (501). Abstract: An apparatus and method for adapting a scalable video coding (SVC) bitstream is provided. The apparatus may include: a layer selection unit to select at least one quality layer from a plurality of quality layers contained in each of spatial layers of the SVC bitstream; a layer discarding unit to discard the at least one quality layer; and a layer dependency modification unit to modify a quality layer dependency between one or more quality layers remaining among the plurality of quality layers, or a spatial layer dependency between the plurality of spatial layers. Accordingly, it is possible to adapt the SVC bitstream where the entire quality of spatial layers is enhanced.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A random access supporting method for a scalable video coding based streaming service is provided to support a scalable random access function by including an enhancement layer and a base layer in a DASH(Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP) service. An RAP synchronization box provides synchronization information existed between SVC(Scalable Video Coding) video layer and an RAP by using the segment index box. Abstract: PURPOSE: An encoder and a decoder for distributing an image through symmetrical motion prediction and a channel division and a method thereof are provided to minimize distortion of side information and remove residual part existing in a channel code decoding process, thereby reducing calculation amount. CONSTITUTION: A key frame encoder(110) encodes the key frame of a image. As a response of the encoded image, a buffer receives a first channel image information of large distortion larger than preset value. A first channel image is divided from a side image information applying interpolation to the key frame. A quantization unit(130) quantizes a Wyner-Ziv frame through the first channel image information. A Wyner-Ziv frame encoder(140) encodes the quantized Wyner-Ziv frame.
