A device for gripping a flexible container, such as a bag filled with fluid, comprising a chamber that is open on one side with a peripheral wall that encloses the open side, a container support that extends in the peripheral direction inside the peripheral wall, as well as an orifice for connecting a vacuum source to the chamber, wherein the chamber can be placed with the open side against the container, such that a vacuum can be generated between the chamber and the container for bringing the container in to contact around the container support transversely to the peripheral direction. The orifice is outside the container support and extends in the peripheral direction.

Device and method for conveying an object having wall having an outer surface, wherein a device according to any one of the preceding claims is used, wherein at least one clamping set having at least one clamp, in an opened position thereof, is pressed against the outer surface and subsequently thereto the clamp is brought into a closed position while clamping the cloth material of the wall, and the clamping set is moved to a location of discharge, where the clamp is opened again.

A conveyor assembly for sorting a plurality of objects comprises a conveyor belt having a surface with a first end and a second end, adapted to carry the plurality of objects from the first end toward the second end, and an electric motor adapted to move the conveyor belt. At least one air flow generation device is positioned adjacent the conveyor belt, and a controller sends a signal to the air flow generation device to generate air flow adapted to bias at least one of the plurality of objects off the conveyor belt.
Abstract:
A system for dividing an object flow can provide slides which are constructed and arranged to displace one or more objects at a time from the object flow toward a different location, preferably another object flow. The slides can be pivotal away from the objects being displaced, thus releasing the objects at the desired location, the slides being reusable as the slides revolve about one or more rollers to and from displacing the objects. Preferably some of the objects are displaced from the object flow at an acute angle with respect to the direction of conveyance, which can provide displacement at a lesser force.

A machining system and unit, especially a welding cell, is provided for use for the machining of workpieces (2), especially bode parts of vehicles. The machining system has one or more machining stations (15, 16) with robots (18, 19, 20) and at least one rotation or turning station (5), which has at least two work stations (6, 7) for carrying out different operations simultaneously. The turning station (5) has at least two multiaxially movable turning units (8, 9) arranged next to one another with said gripping tools (11, 12, 13). The working areas (10) intersect each other at the work stations (6, 7).

A roller conveyor extension includes a base frame having elongated parallel first and second tracks, each of the tracks having rearward and forward ends. First and second carriages reciprocate rearwardly and forwardly between the rearward and forward ends of, respectively, the first and second tracks. A roller support structure having back and front ends, and extending along an axis, supports a plurality of rollers, each of which rollers is adapted for rotational motion about a roller axis extending along an axis perpendicular to the roller support structure axis. The roller support structure is pivotably attached to each of the first and second carriages such that the roller support structure is capable of both rotational motion about a pivot axis and rearward and forward reciprocating motion with respect to the base frame.

Conveyor assembly for packagings, comprising a substantially horizontally conveying conveyor. Situated near the delivery end of said conveyor is a bearing plate, which when the pack moves onto it moves further substantially at the same speed as the conveyor into an accommodation in which the pack has to be placed. When the pack is entirely clear of the conveyor, the bearing plate is moved back so fast that the pack, through its inertia and through its speed of displacement, does not move back and comes to a standstill, so that it is subsequently received in the accommodation.

An apparatus and method for collecting flexible bagged product into groups having desired spacing characteristics and for packing such product groups in receptacles is disclosed. In a first embodiment, the apparatus of the present invention includes an infeed belt for transporting product, a collecting belt operatively aligned with the infeed belt for collecting product from the infeed in product groups, product detecting apparatus for detecting units of product passing from the infeed belt to the collecting belt, means for transporting the product groups from the collecting belt to receptacles, and a controller operatively connected to the detecting apparatus and the collecting belt for advancing the collecting belt a preselected distance for each product which passes onto the collecting belt until a group containing the preselected number of product is collected on the collecting belt, and for activating the collecting belt to advance the collected product gorups to a transporting station. In a second embodiment of the present invention, product groups having the desired characteristics (i.e. number and time separation) are collected by varying the speed of the collecting belt, as opposed to the "stop/start" operation of the first embodiment. A third embodiment of the present invention combines selected components of the first and second embodiments and comprises a variable speed spacing belt operatively aligned with an infeed belt for creating a preselected time separation between product groups, and a collecting belt operatively aligned with the spacing belt for collecting product from the spacing belt in product groups. In a preferred embodiment, the transporting apparatus of the present invention comprises an oscillating conveyor for selectively depositing product groups into receptacles for shipping and handling.
