    Abstract: A transmission line which allows electromagnetic waves in a predetermined frequency range of a millimeter waveband to propagate in a TE10 models formed by a first waveguide and a second waveguide. A resonator is formed by electric wave half mirrors fixed to the first waveguide and the second waveguide. The second waveguide has a structure in which a first transmission line forming body has a plate shape and has a square hole forming the first transmission line formed to pass therethrough from one surface toward an opposite surface, a second transmission line forming body has a plate shape and has a square hole forming the second transmission line formed to pass therethrough from one surface toward an opposite surface, and the first transmission line forming body and the second transmission line forming body are connectable and separable.

    Abstract: A highly compact band pass filter that has excellent mechanical strength is disclosed. A band pass filter according to the present invention employs a dielectric block of substantially rectangular prismatic shape constituted of a first portion lying between a first cross-section of the dielectric block and a second cross-section of the dielectric block substantially parallel to the first cross-section and second and third portions divided by the first portion and metal plates formed on the surfaces of the dielectric block. The first portion of the dielectric block and the metal plates formed thereon are enabled to act as an evanescent waveguide. The second portion of the dielectric block and the metal plates formed thereon are enabled to act as a first resonator. The third portion of the dielectric block and the metal plates formed thereon are enabled to act as a second resonator. The metal plates include a capacitive stub formed on a first surface of the dielectric block which is substantially perpendicular to the cross-sections.

    Abstract: This invention relates to an increase in the low longitudinal resonance frequencies of microwave transmission lines known as symmetrical lines, comprising two coplanar and parallel narrow conductive strips. According to the invention, the line further comprises a longitudinal and wide planar conductive strip which is parallel to one of the narrow strips at a sufficient distance not to substantially disturb the characteristic impedance of the initial symmetrical line and which is connected to the narrow strip by small planar end conductors thereby forming a longitudinal flat cavity. The cavity offers a first resonance frequency much greater than those of the initial symmetrical line and consequently affords a higher useful frequency bank of signals to be transmitted. The end conductors allow the line to be connected to coaxial connectors. In other embodiments, the cavity is divided into several resonant sub-cavities in order to raise the pass-band.
