Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve non-ringing call incoming although in the prior art, under an environment of using an IP-PBX at a session establishment request by SIP, a call incoming side communication terminal cannot determine whether an incoming call is a telephone call or facsimile communication from the session establishment request, and therefore performs a ringing call to call out an operator regardless of the incoming call for facsimile communication.SOLUTION: When a facsimile machine receives a session establishment request whose media type is an audio from a call originating side, it establishes an audio session. If it receives an error response to a session establishment request whose media type is an image from the call originating side, it keeps the audio session, and performs incoming call out processing to call out an operator.
Abstract:
A network terminal apparatus of a type which is directly connectable in a packet communication network. The apparatus is provided with an interface for connecting to a circuit under an environment of an SIP terminal network, and a capability of carrying out facsimile transmission/reception, carries out a call control method according to SIP, transmits and receives an SDP added to a message body of an SIP, and carries out, in a same session, both a call control session transmitting and receiving an SIP message and an SDP and a T.38 session transmitting and receiving a T.38 signal.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system, call control server, monitor, and program which automatically check a source and a destination to prevent human errors which occur the source and the destination are visually checked and thereby can prevent personal information and company's sensitive information from accidentally flowing out to a third party by wrong transmission. SOLUTION: The communication system consists of a communication terminal which sends and receives a call using the call control server, and the call control server which converts address information received from the communication terminal into a corresponding address and then sends it to the other party's terminal to connect the communication terminal and the other party's terminal. When the address information is sent from the communication terminal to the call control server as call request information, the call control server determines whether the address of the caller's communication terminal is permitted to be sent to the address in the address information. Only when permitted, the address information is converted into an address and the address is sent to the other party's terminal to connect the communication terminal and the other party's terminal. Abstract:
Methods and apparatus are described for receiving a fax transmission at a mobile phone. In one embodiment, the mobile phone receives an incoming call and answers the incoming call, upon receiving a command from a user of the mobile phone to answer the incoming call. A program on the mobile phone then detects that the incoming call is a fax transmission, and then places an outgoing call to a fax server. The program on the mobile phone then conferences the incoming call with the outgoing call to the fax server, such that the fax server receives the fax transmission. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

Abstract:
A fax and print method includes steps of providing a first fax device, a second fax device and a portable communication device, allowing the first fax device to send a fax password and a document to the second fax device and a data message and a text message corresponded to the fax password to the portable communication device, allowing the portable communication device to receive the text message and the data message, allowing the second fax device to receive the fax password and the document, generating a wireless connection between the portable communication device and the second fax device, judging if the text message is matched with the fax password, and printing the document when the result of the judgement is True. Therefore, the risk of being stolen is reduced through a transmission without the internet. The user does not have to remember any password. The user experiences are enhanced.
Abstract:
An information processing apparatus capable of preventing a user from unnecessarily taking a wasteful action. Whether a communication line is connected to the information processing apparatus and an off-hook state in the information processing apparatus are detected. Whether to turn on a display unit is controlled. When connection of the communication line to the information processing apparatus and the off-hook state are detected the display unit is controlled to turn on. When non-connection of the communication line to the information processing apparatus and the off-hook state are detected, the display unit is controlled not to turn on.
