Abstract:
A technique processes captured data on a device, wherein selected captured data of a given quality resolution is transferred via a communication link to a separate storage location for future availability. A storage protocol may include various storage organization categories. A possible aspect may provide an identifier record to enable future accessibility to selected captured data by one or more authorized parties or approved devices or authorized recipients. In some embodiments the captured data may include both a video data stream and one or more still image frames having different quality characteristics and/or formats. Initial and ongoing coordination as well as correlation may be facilitated between video and still image data derived from related fields of view.
Abstract:
A communications device (100) and method for adding at least one picture to a contact detail in a phone book (132) stored in the communications device is disclosed. The method includes storing (302) the at least one picture on the communications device during an audio visual communications call between the communications device and another device (202). The method further includes displaying an inquiry (404) on a display screen (106) of the communications device for identifying the at least one picture as possible data to be added to the contact detail in the phone book. The method further includes adding (312) the at least one picture to the contact detail in the phone book when a user interface (108) of the communications device provides an acceptance command in response to the inquiry.
Abstract:
To create a job flow having machine type dependence and commonly usable among different types of devices, a CPU of a client PC displays first task information relating to tasks usable in a first print processing device and creates a first task cooperative job flow executable in the first print processing device. Then, the CPU of the client PC creates definition information of the first task cooperative job flow based on an edit instruction entered using the first task information. Furthermore, the CPU of the client PC produces definition information of a second task cooperative job flow executable in a second task processing device based on the definition information of the created first cooperative job flow as well as based on second task information relating to tasks usable in the second print processing device.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of obtaining positional information of a mobile phone carrier and linking the positional information to position specific multimedia content, such as photos or audio. The method is performed by detecting the position information of the mobile phone and linking the position information to the position specific multimedia content.
Abstract:
This invention has as its object to allow an authentication process that avoids unnecessary information from being stored in a digital camera irrespective of whether or not a digital camera connected to the printer has a direct print function. To this end, in this invention, in an early stage of connection between a digital camera DSC and PD printer, the PD printer side requests an object which contains a keyword as authentication information of those which are stored and held by the DSC (S29). As a result, after it is determined the returned information contains authentication information, the printer notifies the DSC of its own authentication information (S33).
Abstract:
An image processing device provided with at least one of a scanning function, printing function, copying function and a fax function, and connected to an image data-storing server via a communication route, the device comprising a memory for storing image information printed on paper or obtained by scanning from paper, a transfer unit for automatically transferring to a server additional information specifying image information along with image information regardless of the presence or absence of an explicit transfer instruction from a user, a display operating unit for displaying as additional information a list of a plurality of user names to gain access to user names and allow users to select user names, and user name cueing selecting/displaying unit for cueing a plurality of user names by means of at least one character/numeral input from the display operating unit for displaying on the display operating unit.
Abstract:
A system (10) and method for correlating processing data and image data within a digital camera device (14) comprises a capture device (24) for gathering image data, a data cell manager (95) for building a data cell (76) containing processing data and for linking the data cell to the image data, and a processor device (88) for processing and compressing the image data by using the processing data stored within the data cell.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and computer program products are provided that determine the merit of a given captured image, and apply an intelligent policy to the uploading of the image. An image may be captured by an image capturing device of a user. A merit score is determined for the captured image. The merit score indicates a predicted value of the captured image to the user. An access policy is assigned to the captured image based on the determined merit score. Access to the captured image is enabled based on the assigned access policy. For instance, the captured image may be deleted, may be automatically uploaded to a server over a fee-free network connection only, may be uploaded to the server over any available network connection, may be uploaded at a reduced image resolution, and/or may be uploaded at full image resolution, depending on the access policy.
