Abstract:
A method of applying graphics to a set of articles with a graphic transfer assembly is disclosed. The method includes a step of selecting an article from a set of articles comprising different types of articles. After selecting a last that may be associated with the article, the last may be attached to a last assembly of the graphic transfer assembly. With the article attached to the graphic transfer assembly, a deformable membrane may apply graphics to curved portions of the article.
Abstract:
A method of forming a seal ring includes heating an extruded rod to a temperature above a glass transition temperature. The extruded rod has first and second ends. The method further includes bending the extruded rod into a circular structure while the temperature is above the glass transition temperature, joining the first and second ends of the extruded rod to form a semi-finished ring, and annealing the semi-finished ring.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tennis racket that allows improvement in rigidity and vibration absorption at a desired position and allows improvement in ball control and reduction in weight.SOLUTION: A tennis racket 1 includes a frame 10 that surrounds a hitting face for hitting a ball, wherein a foam material 30 is provided inside both side portions of the frame 10 on opposite sides of a predetermined area of the hitting face, and both side portions of the frame 10 have a strength that is higher than a strength of another portion of the frame 10.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a machine (1) for manufacturing a component of a car tyre, which machine (1) comprises first means (4') for guiding and supporting a tyre material to be arranged round the first means (4'), characterized in that the machine (1) also comprises sixth means (20) for folding the tyre material arranged round the first means (4'), for which purpose the sixth means (20) comprise a number of folding members (21) movable relative to each other, which folding members (21) can engage on the tyre material for folding and can therein move inside recesses (22) provided for this purpose in the first means (4'). The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing a component of a car tyre, comprising the step of arranging a tyre material round first means (4') provided for this purpose, characterized in that the method also comprises the step of folding the tyre material arranged aroud the first means (4') by means of folding members (21) provided for this purpose and movable relative to each other, by causing these folding members (21) to engage on the tyre material for folding and to therein move inside recesses (22) provided for this purpose in the first means (4').
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simplified method of manufacturing contoured honeycomb structures that does not introduce undesired stresses or sacrifice strength and stiffness of the structure, and permits formation of contoured honeycomb core in a wide variety of shapes and sizes with minimal forming steps to provide manufacturing cost and time efficiencies.SOLUTION: A method and apparatus for forming a ribbon 900 configured for use in forming a honeycomb structure when the ribbon is in a folded state. The ribbon includes a first edge and a second edge. At least one portion of the first edge is not parallel to at least one portion of the second edge when the ribbon is in an unfolded state.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for water-proofing a semimanufactured footwear, clothing and accessory, in particular, a method under manufacturing. SOLUTION: The semimanufactured products include footwear, clothing items and accessories having a three-dimensional form with at least one inner face and one outer face. At least one waterproofing sheath (18) covers entirely or partially the inner face of the semimanufactured product, is bonded onto the inner face by at least one adhesive layer, and is composed of at least one semipermeable membrane. The at least one semipermeable membrane is cut with a dimension of an inner face side of the semimanufactured product; two edge parts fused to form at least one strip (25) are folded to be overlapped, and the three-dimensional form same to that of the semimanufactured product is imparted to the waterproofing sheath (18), in the semimanufactured product.
