Abstract:
A computer system includes a database and management software for managing client profiles that are used in marketing contacts. The management software is able to receive and process input data from multiple provider sources for addition to the database. The processing that is perfomed may include that application of data hygiene rules and the reformatting of data into a standardized format. The processing may also include the application of matching rules to determine whether a client profile already exists for the client that is associated with the input data. Overlay rules may be applied to resolve how a client profile shoud be uptdated when a client profile already exists for the client associated with the input data. In this fashion, the management software is able to readily update the database with data received from multiple data sources.
Abstract:
An automated marketing system provides a full range of services for telemarketing support. The automated marketing system may include a client profile management system for obtaining data from multiple data providers in different formats and integrating the data into a standardized client profile database. The automated marketing system includes a data warehouse for storing large amounts of data regarding potential clients. An automated lead generation system processes the data in the data warehouse to generate leads that fulfill certain characteristics corresponding to given marketing campaigns. These leads may be passed to telemarketers who use the leads. The results may be fed back into the automated marketing system to update lead generation strategy and to update client data that is stored by the automated marketing system.
Abstract:
An approach for providing interactive voice response services is disclosed. A voice response platform receives a call and generates an automated menu in response. The menu, according to one embodiment, includes an option to transfer the call to an available agent and in response thereto the voice response platform transmits a request for the available agent to an intelligent call router (ICR) over a communications network. The intelligent call router receives the request for the available agent and transmits identification information for the available agent to the voice response platform. The voice response platform then transfers the call to the available agent based on the identification information for the available agent.
Abstract:
A method provides call pickup in a communications network. The method includes initiating a call from a first device to a second device (328). The call is initiated over one or more networks, where at least one of the one or more networks includes a data network. The method further includes storing information relating to the call initiation between the first device and the second device (334), receiving a message from a third device during the call initiation (320), where the message includes a call pickup indication, retrieving the information relating to the call initiation between the first device and the second device (306), and establishing a call between the first device and the third device based on the retrieved information.
Abstract:
The prepaid transaction tracking system allows, for example, entities, such as businesses, individuals, or the like, to have the ability to identify, track and maintain information about prepaid transactions.
Abstract:
A wireless communication system (100) and method for determining a location of a mobile station (110) communicating within the system. The system comprises a plurality of base receivers (103) for receiving wireless communication, a controller (140), and at least one mobile station (110) for transmitting a signal for receipt by at least two of the base receivers (103). The base receivers that received the transmitted signal determine a timing error associated with the transmitted signal, and the controller (140) determines a separation distance between the mobile station (110) and each base receiver that received the transmitted signal based at least upon the timing error. The controller further determines the location of the mobile station within the wireless communication network based upon the separation distance between the mobile station and the base receivers that received the transmitted signal.
Abstract:
In support of an interactive telephony services system (100), a presence gateway (105) provides presence information regarding availability of a called party (137) to communicate using an instant communications client (139).
Abstract:
A media translator (70) is disclosed for converting among speech signals (74) and textual information (72), such as between telephony speech signals and textual information communicated via a messaging communications system.
