Abstract: A pillow is provided herein which includes a cover having opposing first and second panels. A gusset perimetrically bounds, and joins, the first and second panels. The gusset is formed of an open cell construction. Compliant fill material is disposed within the cover. Advantageously, with the subject invention, a pillow is provided allowing for lateral ventilation between opposing panels. This permits a cooling effect while a user is resting or sleeping.

Abstract: A head cooling pillow is provided that is capable of enhancing cooling efficiency for the head, suppressing pressure rise in the inside of the pillow, and improving placing feeling of the head on the pillow. Abstract: The present invention relates to a fabric arrangement and pillow designed to prevent skin lines and wrinkle formation while improving sleep using combinations of fabrics, cooling technologies and scents. The present invention is designed with a specific fabric and materials combination that create a surface in which the shear stresses causing skin lines and wrinkles are eliminated. Multiple layers make up the fabric arrangement include a top layer comprising a stretchable material and a second layer comprising a low friction material relative to the first layer. Supporting the first two layer is a support layer such as foam. Lower layers may comprise a cooling material, an antimicrobial or anti-allergenic material and a scent layer.

Abstract: A cushion or pillow (10) can include a t-shaped porous enclosure formed from fabric and a plurality of bead-like members (20) retained within the enclosure. The porous fabric can be made from cotton or a cotton blend. The plurality of bead-like members can be a plurality seeds such as flax or sesame seeds, synthetic foam beads, or other material that can be placed within the enclosure. Herbs such as lavender, peppermint or orange peel can also be placed or retained within the enclosure. A t-portion (12) of the t-shaped porous enclosure can fit under a person's neck while a straight portion (14) can lie under the person's spine while the person is lying down. The t-shaped porous enclosure can be enclosed using stitching (16 or 18) or zipper members (32) or other means. Further note, the cushion can be heated or cooled to provide the appropriate healing effect.

Abstract: An adjustable contour pillow provides for the manual or powered inflation of the chamber or chambers therein, as well as other alternative features such as heat, massage, and/or cooling, and is particularly valuable to persons suffering from neck strain. In one embodiment, the pillow includes three separate laterally disposed elongate fluid chambers, each having a coplanar lower wall. The central chamber has a center and an upper wall which is lower than the centers and upper walls of the other two chambers, thus defining an elongate valley extending from one end to the other of the pillow. The valley serves to cradle the back of the head, with the uppermost chamber (relative to the user) cradling the upper back of the head and the lowermost chamber supporting the back of the neck of a supine person. The selective and independent inflation of the different chambers may be accomplished manually, or by an automated powered pump arrangement. The control system may be integrated with the pillow, or may alternatively be supplied as a separate control for a pillow having one or more inflatable chambers therein.
