Abstract: A two-step chromatography purification scheme is described which selectively captures and isolates the genome-containing rAAV vector particles from the clarified, concentrated supernatant of a rAAV production cell culture. The process utilizes an affinity capture method performed at a high salt concentration followed by an anion exchange resin method performed at high pH to provide rAAV vector particles which are substantially free of rAAV intermediates.

Abstract: A method as described herein may include contacting a fluid with a single resin to cause the single resin to bond to nitrates and perchlorates contained in the fluid. The method may regenerate the single resin by a regeneration process comprising contacting the single resin with a salt solution, wherein regenerating removes a substantial portion of the nitrates contained within the single resin but does not remove a substantial portion of the perchlorates contained within the single resin, wherein the single resin comprises a nitrate-specific resin and does not comprise a perchlorate-specific resin.

Abstract: Provided is a manufacturing method for monolithic structure that is a porous body formed of polysaccharide being a naturally-occurring polymer, has continuous pores with an average pore diameter suitable for biomolecule separation, and allows formation into arbitrary shape. The polysaccharide monolithic structure is manufactured by a method including a first step of obtaining a polysaccharide solution by dissolving polysaccharide into a mixed solvent of a first component and a second component at temperature lower than a boiling point of the mixed solvent, and a second step of obtaining polysaccharide monolithic structure by cooling the polysaccharide solution, wherein the first component is a solvent selected from lactate, and the second component is a solvent selected from water, lower alcohol, and a combination thereof. The monolithic structure obtained is a porous body having continuous pores with an average pore diameter of 0.01 to 20.0 micrometers, and a thickness of 100 micrometers or more.

Abstract: The invention relates to a process for recovering bromide from a halide-containing aqueous stream, comprising the steps of: providing a feed of halide-containing aqueous stream; contacting an anion-exchange resin with said feed, to form halide-loaded resin; treating said halide-loaded resin with a regenerant and subsequently with a rinse to produce, in succession, a chloride-rich solution, a mixed chloride/bromide solution, a bromide-rich solution and an essentially halide-free solution; directing said mixed chloride/bromide solution to said feed; processing said bromide-rich solution to recover one or more bromide products; and utilizing said essentially halide-free solution for regenerant dilution and/or rinsing of said resin. An apparatus for carrying out the process is also disclosed.
