The present invention relates to a transparent gel, which has an interpenetrating polymer network of a copolymer containing a polysiloxane structure and a polycarbonate structure and a hydrophilic polymer obtained by polymerizing a hydrophilic monomer. For more details, the present invention has an object to provide a transparent gel useful as a cultivation substrate, a container for storage and an ophthalmic material, comprising an easily synthesizable and purifiable silicone-containing resin, wherein a gel strength, transparency, oxygen permeability, birefringence and other characteristics are excellent.

A practical polyester which is provided with substantially no antimony compound as a polycondensation catalyst. (I) One of the polyester resin compositions has an antimony content of 30 ppm by weight or lower, a titanium content of 0.5 to 50 ppm by weight, and a phosphorus content of 0.1 to 100 ppm by weight and has titanium-containing particles having a diameter of 1 µm or larger in terms of equivalent-circle diameter, the number of the particles being less than 100 per 0.02 mg. (II) The other polyester resin composition has an antimony content of 30 ppm by weight or lower, a titanium content of 0.5 to 50 ppm by weight, and a phosphorus content of 0.1 to 100 ppm by weight and contains 0.1 to 5 wt.% organic polymer particles which have an average particle diameter as measured by the dynamic light scattering method of 0.05 to 3 µm and in which the number of coarse particles having a particle diameter at least two times the average particle diameter account for up to 0.01% of the number of all particles.

Disclosed are a resin composition comprising a polylactic acid resin and a polyacetal resin, and such a resin composition in which the polylactic acid resin and the polyacetal resin are kept miscible with each other. The resin composition has good moldability, workability, mechanical properties, heat resistance and transparency, and may be worked into moldings, films and fibers for practical use.

A thermoplastic resin composition comprising a blend obtainable by blending 0.1 to 99 % by weight of (a) a fluorine-containing polymer having a number-average molecular weight of 2000 to 1000000 and having hydroxy group or epoxy group at least at one of end portions of a main chain and side chain of the polymer, and 1 to 99.9 % by weight of (b) a heat resisting thermoplastic resin having a crystalline melting point or glass transition temperature of not less than 150°C, which is a polyamide. The present invention can provide a composition comprising various heat resisting thermoplastic resins and a fluorine-containing polymer having a functional group which is capable of developing an affinity with said resins and forming a uniform dispersion.

There is provided a skin patch comprising a flexible backing and, superimposed thereon, a plaster layer wherein the plaster layer contains a styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymer and has a glass transition temperature (Tg) of -45° to -35°C and a tan ´ (lag angle) value, determined at dynamic viscoelasticity measurement (frequency 6.2832 rad/s) at 45°C, of 0.25 or less.
