A permanent mold casting mold releasing agent comprising a mixture of a mold releasing base material, which is an inorganic compound, with an organic compound, at least the mold releasing base material being of powdery or granulated form. This mold releasing agent allows production of castings of high quality, with good workability and without adversely affecting environmental situations.

A spherical annular seal member 38 is used in an exhaust pipe joint and includes a spherical annular base member 36 defined by a cylindrical inner surface 32, a partially convex spherical surface 33, large- and small-diameter side annular end faces 34 and 35 of the partially convex spherical surface 33, and an outer layer 37 formed integrally on the partially convex spherical surface 33 of the spherical annular base member 36. The spherical annular base member 36 includes a reinforcing member made from a metal wire net 5 and a heat-resistant material containing expanded graphite filling meshes of the metal wire net 5 of this reinforcing member and compressed in such a manner as to be formed integrally with this reinforcing member in mixed form. In the outer layer 37, the reinforcing member, the heat-resistant material, and the solid lubricant are integrated in mixed form.

[Task] In a sliding member comprising a substrate and a coating layer provided thereon, the coating layer has a sliding surface and is formed of a resin-based coating and particles of a solid lubricant dispersed therein. The orientation ratio of (001) plane of the solid lubricant is enhanced. [Means for Solution] The coating layer of a sliding layer has an average thickness of 3 µm or less. The particles of the solid lubricant have 2 µm or more of an average particle diameter as measured by the laser diffraction method. The solid lubricant dispersed has 90% or more of relative C-axis intensity ratio.

A method for lubricating a metal workpiece during a metalworking process includes delivering supercritical carbon dioxide to the workpiece during the metalworking process. The supercritical carbon dioxide acts as a lubricant, coolant, chip evacuator, and/or carrier for another lubricant or corrosion inhibitor.

The invention concerns a composition for preparing metal products designed to be shaped by at least one mechanical process of plastic deformation such as wire drawing, rolling, calendering, forging, swaging and the like, without notable shrinkage of substance. The invention is characterised in that it comprises a film-forming binder, at least an additive reactive with the metal, at least a lubricating additive and at least an anticorrosive additive. The invention also concerns a method for preparing said metal products using the claimed composition.
