Abstract:
The invention relates to thermally conductive greases that may contain carrier oil(s), dispersant(s), and thermally conductive particles, wherein the thermally conductive particles are a mixture of at least three distributions of thermally conductive particles, each of the at least three distributions of thermally conductive particles having an average (D50) particle size which differs from the other average particle sizes by at least a factor of five. The thermally conductive greases of the invention exhibit desirable rheological behavior during installation/ application and during use of devices involving these materials.

Abstract:
A syringe coated with a lubricant containing a silicone oil and a fine silica powder on the inner surface of the barrel of the syringe can be used for injection of a surface-active drug solution without oil droplet formation on the inner surface while preventing an increase of the gasket sliding friction.

Abstract:
A lubricant for a run-flat tire system includes a water soluble, or water-miscible carrier, a thickener, and a surfactant. The thickener hereof retains its rheological properties and is not subject to permanent thinning shear. The base fluid is, preferably, a water-soluble polyhydroxyl or other polyhydric compound and the thickener is preferably a clay. When admixed with a surfactant and, optionally, a lubricity agent, the lubricant exhibits long term stability and (is resistant to heat buildup.) prevents the buildup of heat in the tire assembly when the tire is in the run flat condition.
Abstract:
The invention relates to lubricating grease compositions comprising (a) at least one highly viscous, fluorinated oil having a viscosity of between 500 - 1500mm 2 /s, (b) boron nitride and (c) a binder which is selected from bentonite, alkali metal phosphates, aluminum phosphates, alkali metal silicates, alkaline earth metal silicates, aluminum silicates, alkaline earth metal carbonates, calcium borate, silicon dioxide, titanium dioxide, aluminum oxide and mixtures thereof. Said lubricating grease compositions can be used, in particular, in a high-temperature range, for example for greasing oven drawer rails.
Abstract:
A composition made by admixing a major amount of base oils of lubricating viscosity and minor amounts of additives. The additives can include a viscosity modifier, a dispersant, a friction modifier, an anti-oxidant, a suppressant, a tackifier, and thickeners. The dispersant can be a dissolved powered styrene-ethylene/propylene-block copolymer and the thickeners can be fumed silicia. The dispersants and the thickeners are pulverized and dissolved in the composition to provide for inhibition of oil separation during storage.
