Abstract:
A hinge includes a hinge assembly and a damper assembly. The damper assembly includes a stationary housing defining a cavity. A damper body rotatablely installed in the cavity has a head protruding to form a cylindrical guiding portion and a pushing portion defining two side ends apart from each other. The side ends are unparallel and at least one of the side ends is inclined relative to the axis direction of the damper body to make the width of the pushing portion between the side ends be changed gradually, and rotatable sheets and stationary sheets are received in the cavity and alternately disposed on the guiding portion and the pushing portion. The stationary sheets are respectively fixed to the stationary housing. Each rotatable sheet protrudes inwardly to form a retaining portion. The side ends of the pushing portion alternately contact the retaining portions and contact the retaining portions one by one when the elastic force of the hinge assembly is released to drive the damper body rotating. Damper resin is filled between the adjacent stationary sheets and rotatable sheets.

A hinge includes a hinge assembly and a damper assembly. The damper assembly includes a stationary housing defining a cavity. A damper body rotatablely installed in the cavity has a head protruding to form a cylindrical guiding portion and a pushing portion defining two side ends apart from each other. At least one of the side ends has a step-shaped profile to make the width of the pushing portion between the side ends nonuniform, and rotatable sheets and stationary sheets are received in the cavity and alternately disposed on the guiding portion and the pushing portion. The stationary sheets are fixed to the stationary housing. Each of the rotatable sheets protrudes inwardly to form a retaining portion. The side ends of the pushing portion alternately contact the retaining portions and contact the retaining portions at intervals when the elastic force of the hinge assembly is released to drive the damper body rotating. Damper resin is filled between the adjacent stationary sheets and rotatable sheets.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a damping device for parts of furniture which are joined together by means of hinges and which can be pivoted in relation to each other. The housing contains a damping fluid in the cavity thereof and a resistance element which can be displaced relative to the damping fluid and connected to an actuating element protruding from the housing. During at least one part of the pivoting movement of both pieces of furniture, said actuating element is drivingly connected to the second piece of furniture and transfers the movement distributed to the second piece of furniture to the resistance element. The damping device is arranged in the region of at least one of the hinges which pivotally couples both pieces of furniture, and whereby either the damping housing and/or the actuating element engages with one of the mounting element of the corresponding hinges, at least during the damping process.
Abstract:
A rotary damper (15) comprises a casing (17) fixable to a structure (S) and which comprises a wall (17a) which surrounds a chamber (18) filled with a viscous fluid and has an inner surface (18a) facing the chamber (18); a cover (21) mounted and welded on a shoulder surface (18d) of the wall (17a) of the casing (17) in such a way as to close the chamber (18) in a sealed manner; and a rotor (31) which is mounted rotatably on the casing (17) and comprises a disc portion (32), adapted to rotate within the chamber (18), and a shaft portion (33) extending axially from the disc portion (32) and emerging through the cover (21) so as to be operationally associable with a movable member (2). The cover (21) has peripherally a collar-like protuberance (122), extending along the entire perimeter of the cover (21) and coupled to the inner surface (18a) of the wall (17a) of the casing (17) in such a way as to oppose the infiltration of the viscous fluid between the collar-like protuberance (122) and the inner surface (18a) of the wall (17a).
Abstract:
The invention relates to an actuating mechanism for a swivel-mounted actuating arm, especially for driving a lid of an item of furniture. Said mechanism comprises a spring device including a biased actuating element and a translatory mechanism which translates the movement of the actuating element into a swiveling movement of the actuating arm. Said translatory mechanism comprises at least one adjusting device for varying the translation ratio between the movement of the actuating element and the swiveling movement of the actuating arm.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a self-closing hinge suitable for use in a variety of applications where it is desirable to provide for automatic closing of a hinged member in a delayed or slow fashion. The invention includes a generally cylindrical outer casing or housing that partially encloses a rotatable shaft that may be secured to a hinged member to effect the rotation thereof. The shaft is disposed within a recess in a cylindrical coupler that is engaged by the shaft during rotation in a first direction—generally an “open” rotational direction—and that engages the shaft to rotate it in a second direction—generally a “closed” rotational direction. The coupler is secured to a torsional spring that acts against the open rotation of the shaft and thereby forces the coupler to rotate in a closed direction. Additionally, a rotatable inner casing, which is generally cylindrical, may be disposed within the outer casing in close proximity thereto, such that a high viscosity fluid may be disposed therebetween.
Abstract:
An obstruction detection device for a motor vehicle having a door assembly movably connected to a vehicle body is provided. The device controls the vehicle door's opening angle to prevent inadvertent contact with an object foreign to the vehicle, while providing the largest opening for vehicle ingress and egress. The obstruction detection device includes a controller that is operatively connected to at least one sensor configured to actively monitor and transmit signals to the controller indicative of the presence and corresponding proximity of the object relative to the door assembly. An actuator is operatively connected to and controlled by the controller. The actuator is configured to apply a selectively variable force that restricts the movement of the vehicle door assembly with respect to the vehicle body when the door is a predetermined distance from the object.
Abstract:
Furniture hinge with alternative damping and/or braking device with respect to those existing and able to guarantee a better functional efficiency during closing and opening operation of the doors, or other parts of furniture, even after long periods of inactivity of the same device. The better efficiency of such hinge is also obtained by increasing the friction surfaces with a viscous means present in suitable areas of the hinge and by allowing the regulation of the angular velocity trend of a circular shaped element, for example a disk, that acts as a braking element in contact with the viscous means.
Abstract:
The invention relates to door closers, particularly a door closer control device that regulates the flow of a pressure medium controlling the function of a door closer. A control device according to the invention includes a support part with a collar that serves as a second support for the control device on the door closer body in addition to the support in the guiding part. This second support holds the control device in place within the pressure medium flow without any rocking or swaying movement, which would hamper the door closing speed.
Abstract:
A hinge for connection of two furniture parts comprises a bowl-shaped element designed to be fastened to a first furniture part and a wing rotatably in engagement with said bowl-shaped element, the wing being adapted to be fastened to an intermediate element that, in turn, is fastened to a hinge base designed to be secured to a second furniture part, a shock absorber being present which comprises a body designed to be rigidly connected to said second furniture part and a shock absorbing member movably mounted on said body to restrain the closing movement of the hinge. The shock absorber body is mounted on the intermediate element of the hinge.
