La présente invention concerne un équipement de télécommande comportant un circuit électronique comprenant des moyens de détection de la position, l'orientation et du déplacement de la main et/ou de l'avant bras tel qu'un accéléromètre, des moyens de transmission radiofréquence d'un signal de commande calculé en fonction de la position, de l'orientation et du déplacement mesuré, et un moyen de liaison avec l'avant-bras d'un opérateur, caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte en outre un contacteur (7) apte à être actionné par l'interaction de deux doigts, ledit contacteur (7) commandant l'activation dudit circuit électronique ainsi que le maintien du signal de commande jusqu'à l'arrêt de l'action sur ledit contacteur, ainsi qu'une surface d'appui associée à un contacteur commandant un arrêt d'urgence de l'équipement commandé.

A mobile terminal includes a wireless communication unit; a camera; a display; an ultrasound transmission unit; and a controller configured to control the wireless communication unit, the camera, the display, and the ultrasound transmission unit. The mobile terminal is configured to: transmit a first detection prepare request signal to allow a plurality of external devices located within a control area to switch to a prepare state; acquire an image including at least one of the plurality of external devices that switches to the prepare state; selectively transmit an ultrasound signal to the at least one of the plurality of external devices included in the image; receive associated control information from each of the at least one of the plurality of external devices; and display a graphic image related to the associated control information from each of the at least one of the plurality of external devices.

Embodiments are disclosed that relate to gaze-based remote device control. For example, one disclosed embodiment provides, on a computing device, a method comprising detecting a gaze direction of a user, detecting an indication from the user to control a remotely controllable device located in the gaze direction, and adapting a user interface of a controller device to enable user control of the remotely controllable device.

A remote controller is arranged for selecting a light source among a plurality of light sources. The remote controller has an omnidirectional transmitter and is arranged to instruct, by means of the omnidirectional transmitter, the light sources to transmit a directional signal comprising a code, which is unique for each light source. Further, the remote controller has a directional signal receiver, and is arranged to receive the directional signals from the light sources, and signal comparison circuitry connected with the directional signal receiver. The remote controller is arranged to select one of the light sources on basis of the received directional signals. Furthermore, the remote controller comprises a transmission indicator, which is arranged to generate an indication signal, indicative of a successful omnidirectional transmission, and it is arranged to initiate the selection of one of the light sources by means of the indication signal.

A controlling device such as a remote control has programming for transmitting a signal response to a plurality of control environments, each environment including a signaling device. Each signaling device in receipt of the signal request sends a signal response having a unique ID which is chosen to be characteristically attenuated by the surroundings of the environment. Because the controlling device can only be in one environment at a given time, and given the attenuation characteristics of the signal response from each signaling device, only one signal response will be received by the controlling device in each environment. Location definitions associated with the received unique ID may be used by programming in the controlling device to recall saved devices states, commands sets, macros, and even to dynamically generate commands based on the location information.
Abstract:
An electronic device and an external device control method thereof are provided. A service providing method of the electronic device includes the steps of: determining an external device which the electronic device indicates among a plurality of external devices if a trigger input is sensed; providing a UI screen of an application corresponding to the external device which the electronic device indicates; and transmitting a control signal corresponding to a user command to the external device which the electronic device indicates if a user command is inputted through the UI screen of the application. Accordingly, the present invention can provide various services by recognizing the external device.
