Abstract:

Abstract:
A distributed health-check method for web caching in a telecommunication network, wherein a plurality of web caching nodes are coordinated to monitor a set of origin servers where web content is generated, the method comprising associating to each user of said telecommunication network requesting said web content buckets as logical containers for holding said web content requested; generating a list containing all of said users of the telecommunication network requesting said web content; and performing each of said plurality of web caching nodes a number of health-checks to said set of origin servers to download said requested web content. Moreover, a filtering of said set of origin servers is also performed, so that they are grouped in different areas of interest and said number of health-checks are also performed by a limited number of caching nodes receiving said web content requests. Said limited number of caching nodes being selected belonging to a specific area of interest of said set of origin servers monitoring them.
Abstract:
The method comprises updating a list of contacts stored in a database of a group management system of a telecommunication service, the method receiving said update from an external source; and selecting by a user at least one group and retrieving from said group management system the contact data of said group members to establish a new telecommunication interaction. An analyzer further retrieving a list of CDRs from a database server, a list of current groups and a list of past and new subscribers of said telecommunication service and processing them by means of a detection algorithm to generate one or more suggested lists of contacts or groups; sending to said group management system said generated lists of contacts or groups; and selecting by said user which group will be used to update said group management system database. The system of the invention is adapted to implement the method of the invention.
Abstract:
A method and system for optical protection and/or restoration optimization on an optical network with DSP-based multi-format transponders is proposed. The method comprises an optical network equipped with at least two DSP-based multi- format transponders (30) for carrying data traffic through at least two optical routes, and a PCE+ module (50) that performs a routing and a wavelength assignment (RWA). By using a digital signal processor (DSP) manager module (10) that calculates route parameters by checking the peak traffic of said at least two DSP-based multi-format transponders (30), an optimal route of said at least two optical routes is established through said method. The system of the invention is adapted to implement the method of the invention. The DSP manager module (10) can be used for resource usage optimization and transport network capacity allocation automation.
Abstract:
A Method and a System for managing user's access information and configuration in 3GPP PCC architecture. The method comprising accessing a user with a user equipment (UE) through an access node of a 3GPP PCC architecture involving mainly an Application Function (AF), a Policy and Charging Enforcement Function (PCEF) and a Subscription Profile Repository (SPR). The method comprising following steps: - providing upon a line configuration request to a Circuit Management Function (CMF) a fixed line configuration information of a circuit including any change made in said fixed line regarding a service profile, and - transferring information about said circuit conditions to a services layer when performing said accessing of said user. The invention also provides a Circuit Management Function intended for providing user's access configuration and information in an automated and convergent way, in real time.
Abstract:
A method and a system for sharing wireless broadband connection between devices The method comprising allowing a wireless broadband connection between at least one wireless device including a tethering function with at least one wired broadband device, and using said tethering function for sharing said wireless broadband connection through aggregating a bandwidth of said wired broadband device to said at least one wireless device, wherein a segmentation of application packets of information, at the layer of the application protocol enabling said connection, namely the application layer, is performed into sub packets that will be transmitted to said at least one wireless device, using a proxy including a set of application handler modules handling packets of information for said connection. The system of the invention is adapted to implement the method of the invention.
