Abstract:
Thermosettable, coreactable particulate powdereded compositions having particles comprising at least a first copolymer of an olefinically unsaturated monomer having at least one functional group and at least a second copolymer of an olefinically unsaturated monomer having at least one functional group which is reactive with the at least one functional group of the at least first copolymer are disclosed. Methods for making and using these compositions are also disclosed.
Abstract:
Oxidative coupling of lower alkane to higher hydrocarbon is conducted using supported catalyst comprising an activity promoting amount of at least one cobalt, nickel or rhodium compound and at least one catalytically active Group IA and Group IIA metal compound in the presence of a halogen-containing component.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a process for making amines by condensing an amino compound in the presence of a Group VIB metal-containing condensation catalyst. This invention also relates to an alkyleneamines producers composition rich in triethylenetetramine (TETA), tetraethylenepentamine (TEPA) and pentaethylenehexamine (PEHA).
Abstract:
A polyester molding compositions that provides excellent shrinkage control and uniform pigmentation with chemically thickened and unthickened systems utilizing a poly(vinyl ether) as the low profile additive.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to olefin polymers stabilized with polysiloxanes containing sterically hindered heterocyclic moieties, said polysiloxanes being represented by the general formula M* v D x D* y T z Q w M* v .
Abstract:
An environmentally safe method is provided for the removal and disposal of residual water soluble polymers, particularly polyethers, from aqueous waste streams, wherein a pretreated inert inorganic substrate is contacted with the waste stream and the polymer contained therein adsorbed onto the substrate. Thereafter, the polymers are removed from the substrate as CO₂ and water by combustion and the substrate subjected to regenerative conditions for recycling.

Abstract:
This invention relates to a process for making amines by condensing an amino compound in the presence of a condensation catalyst and a condensation catalyst promoter, wherein said condensation catalyst promoter is present in an amount sufficient to promote the condensation catalyst. This invention also relates to an alkyleneamines producers composition rich in triethylenetetramine (TETA), tetraethylenepentamine (TEPA) and pentaethylenehexamine (PEHA).
Abstract:
A biocompatible, substantive, film-forming delivery system for delivery of pharmaceutical or therapeutic actives to a desired topical site of a subject, said system comprising an emulsion comprising A) at least one pharmaceutical or therapeutic active; B) an aqueous fraction comprising at least one aminopolysaccharide derivative selected from the group consisting of chitosonium polymers and covalent chitosan derivatives; and C) a non-aqueous fraction which is not soluble in the aqueous fraction, and wherein said system, after delivery to said site, provides a substantive, gas permeable film from which the actives are available for treatment of said subject at said site.
