Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the productivity by easily forming a complicated shape with good reproducibility not through a complicated process by forming a 2nd structure on a 1st structure by pattern transfer. SOLUTION: On a driving part 140 as the 1st structure which is movable, a microprism as the 2nd structure is formed by pattern transfer. In this case the 1st structure which is movable is formed on a silicon substrate by a method such as a silicon process wherein a photolithography process, dry etching, wet etching, oxide film formation, crystal growth, a CMP flattening process, etc., are combined, laser machining, sol-gel formation, sintering, machine cutting, etc. The 2nd structure can be formed on the 1st structure by pattern transfer by applying resin over the 1st structure which is previously formed and applying a pattern for forming the 2nd structure.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture display device capable of displaying bright and high quality pictures with higher contrast in a picture display device capable of extracting evanescent light leaked from the total reflection surface of a light guiding part capable of totally reflecting display light and transmitting the reflected light by a switching part using a microprism and displaying a picture. SOLUTION: A display area 53a to which a switching part 20 is fitted in the total reflection surface of a light guiding part 10 is irradiated with display light 70 from two directions. Since the whole surface of a microprism constituting one pixel 5 can be irradiated with the display light 70, the picture display device 1 having a higher contrast ratio between ON and OFF and capable of displaying a seamless picture having no break in each pixel or between pixels can be provided. In a projector 2 for projecting the light 74 emitted from the device 1 to a screen 9 by a projection lens 12, a bright picture having a high contrast ratio and high picture quality can be displayed on the screen 9.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable determination of a direction of unevenness of an object to be measured and measurement of a three-dimensional shape with single image capture and also to obtain a color image by controlling a fringe pattern distance or a beam scanning interval by distance information from a distance detector for detecting a distance from the object to be measured. SOLUTION: Light emitted from a light source 102 is diffracted by a hologram element, obtains a fringe-like pattern and irradiates an object 104 to be measured. A distance between the object 104 and a camera 108 is measured by a distance detector 105. The camera 108 includes a light detector 107 having four kinds of filter sets 109 for transmitting light source light, red light, green light and blue light on an incident face. Thus as soon as a color image is captured, the light source 102 is lit up, and as soon as a focus of the camera 108 is aligned by distance information from the distance detector 105, a fringe-like pattern emitted from an active light irradiator 101 is varied, so that a fringe pattern projected on the object 104 to be measured can also be captured.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a tracking error signal from including a DC offset even at the time of moving an objective lens for the purpose of performing the tracking control. CONSTITUTION:Laser light reflected by a disk 5 passes an objective lens 4 and polarizing beam splitters 3, 6, and 8 and is led to an optical detection part 100 for tracking error detection. When the objective lens 4 is moved in the direction of an arrow B for the purpose of performing the tracking control, the luminous flux 11 of laser light is moved in the direction of an arrow C. A mask 104 provided with transmission holes 105a and 105b is provided in the front of a bipartite photo diode 102. Therefore, only luminous fluxes 11a and 11b passing the transmission holes 105a and 105b are made incident on photo diodes 102a and 102b. Sizes and positions of transmission holes 105a and 105b are so selected that luminous fluxes 11a and 11b always have only optical components in a modulation signal area regardless of movement of the luminous flux 11.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To execute a signal processing of a high band by decreasing the floating capacity by performing non-reflective coating to a light shielding member for determining a shape of a photoelectric converting element of a signal detecting means. CONSTITUTION:When an objective lens is near media, a spot which is made incident on a sensor 102 becomes such an elliptical spot as is made incident on the sensor 102, and on the other hand, a spot which is made incident on a sensor 101 becomes a shape having a major axis of an ellipse in the direction being orthogonal to a major axis of the sensor. Also, when the objective lens is far from the media, the spot shape which is made incident on the sensors 101, 102 becomes a shape being reverse to that of the time when the lens is near the media, and in a focused position of the objective lens, it becomes a circular spot shape in both the sensors 101, 102. Accordingly, by taking a differential of both the sensors 101, 102, a focus error signal is obtained. In this case, a sensor 107 is placed around the sensors 101, 102, and non-reflective coating to wavelength of a sensor incident beam is performed onto each sensor, therefore, since light 105, 106 which does not contribute to a signal protruded onto the sensor 107 is scarcely reflected by the sensor 107, it becomes a stray light and does not return to an optical head.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable discrete adjustment of a focus error signal and a tracking error signal by a construction wherein an element having faces of which planes of refraction are tilted reversely to each other and having the other face constructed of a parallel plane is provided independently of a hologram element only in a part in which the light is modulated strongly by a track groove. CONSTITUTION:By a parallel plane plate 108 having faces which refract the light of two parts 112 and 113 modulated by a track groove respectively and make them emitted in reverse directions, the light falling on the part 112 is refracted and the direction of advance is deflected, while the light falling on the part 113 is refracted in the direction reverse to that of the light falling on the part 112, and they fall on a hologram 101. The incident light of 112 is diffracted to be of a +1 order and a -1 order by the hologram element and the diffracted lights enter a sensor 207 at spots 208 and 209 respectively. Accordingly, the light of the part 112 enters the sensor 207, while the light of the part 113 enters a sensor 203. By operating the sensors 207 and 203, there fore, a tracking error signal is obtained. According to this constitution, the tracking error signal and a focus error signal can be adjusted discretely.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To attain the differential detection of a signal without using a 1/2 wavelength plate by setting each optical axis of Wollaston prisms made of adhered anisotropy crystals to + or -45 deg. with respect to an incident light. CONSTITUTION:The optical axis 104 of a prism 106 with adhered anisotropy crystals close to an incoming side is set to 45 deg. with respective to a bottom face in the prism 106 with adhered anisotropy crystals used for an analyzer in the detection section of a magneto-optical recording optical head detecting the rotation of the polarized face of the light corresponding to the direction of magnetization and the optical axis 105 of the prism remote from the incoming side is set to 45 deg. with respect to the bottom face of the head opposite to the former axis set angle, and the optical axis of any prism viewing from the side face toward the adhered face is set perpendicular to the incoming light. Thus, the optical system in which the optical axis of the anisotropy crystals is tilted by 45 deg. opposite to each other is used in such a manner to detect a magneto- optial signal differentially without the use of a 1/2 wavelength by the Wollaston prism of the same size as Wollaston prism using a 1/2 wavelength plat for signal detection.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a focus error signal by only a sensor by providing a focusing means for bringing an output of a photodiode for monitoring an emitted light in the rear of a semiconductor laser, to a negative feed-back to an actuator for focusing a condensing lens. CONSTITUTION:A laser light emitted from a semiconductor laser 1 is made parallel by a collimator lens 3, and separated into light beams which are made incident on a photodiode sensor 9 used for an auto power control (A.P.C) for keeping a semiconductor laser emitting power constant, and an objective lens 5, by a beam splitter 4. As for the light beam which is condensed onto a recording surface by the objective lens 5, and is reflected and returned, some light beam is returned to the laser by the beam splitter 4, and other light beam is made incident on a track error detecting and objective lens distance deciding sensor 8 through a knife edge 7. By applying a focus-servo by using the photodiode 9, focus and track servo can be applied without using a servo-use optical system.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent crosstalk due to the expansion of a bit width from being increased, by setting entire plane of the recording film of an optical memory disk before it is used at an amorphous state, performing erasure only on a groove, and performing recording, reproduction, and the erasure on the groove. CONSTITUTION:After a part (between the groove) 5 except the groove (on the groove) 4 where the recording, the reproduction, and the erasure of information are performed on a recording film, is formed in the amorphous state similarly as a recording bit, the recording, the reproduction, and the erasure are performed on the groove 4. Also, at time of erasing the information, a laser power which generates no erasing state (crystallized state) of the part 5 between the groove is set on the recording film. Thus, since the part 5 between the groove is set at the same amorphous state similarly as a write bit, the bit can be read as a bit 7 having the bit shape of a uniform width even when the bit width of a bit 3 recorded on the groove 4 is expanded and it is forced out to the part 5 between the groove. In such way, the crosstalk due to the expansion of the bit width can be completely suppressed.
