PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-soluble plunger lubricant for die-casting, which suppresses combustion and exhibits excellent lubricating properties without causing reduction in productivity or deterioration of working environment.SOLUTION: The water-soluble plunger lubricant for die-casting comprises: a component (a) which is one or more compounds selected from mineral oils, synthetic hydrocarbons, fats, and fatty acid esters; a component (b) which is one or more compounds selected from alkali metal salts of higher fatty acids or alkali metal salts of aliphatic hydroxy acids; a component (c) which is one or more compounds selected from alkali metal salts of synthetic sulfonic acids or alkali metal salts of petroleum sulfonic acids; microparticulate silica; and water. The water-soluble plunger lubricant for die-casting suppresses combustion and exhibits excellent lubricating properties without causing a decrease in productivity or deterioration of working environment.
Abstract:
Antimicrobial lubricant compositions are disclosed. The antimicrobial lubricant compositions are particularly useful in providing antimicrobial capability to a wide-range of medical devices. The compositions include an oil lubricant. Representative lubricants may include polydimethyl siloxane, trifluoropropyl copolymer polysiloxane, and a copolymer of dimethylsiloxane and trifluoropropylmethylsiloxane. The compositions include rheology modifiers as necessary. The compositions also include antimicrobial agents, which may be selected from a wide array of agents. Representative antimicrobial agents include of aldehydes, anilides, biguanides, bis-phenols, quaternary ammonium compounds, cetyl pyridium chloride, cetrimide, alexidine, chlorhexidine diacetate, benzalkonium chloride, and o-phthalaldehyde.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an anti-seizure agent for hot steel working comprising: an inorganic component as a first component; sodium hydroxide as a second component; water-soluble resins and/or water-soluble surfactants as a third component; and water, wherein, to the mass of the sum of the first component, the second component, and the third component as 100 mass %, the anti-seizure agent contains: 96.5 mass % or more and 99.98 mass % or less of the first component; 0.01 mass % or more and 2. 0 mass % or less of the second component; and 0.01 mass % or more and 1.5 mass % or less of the third component, and the inorganic component is one or more selected from a group consisting of Al 2 O 3 , SiO 2 , CaO, B 2 O 3 , K 2 O, and Na 2 O. This anti-seizure agent for hot steel working exhibits excellent wettability and surface firm-adherability to the steel; moreover, the coating layer formed after application solidly adheres to the steel and does not come off in the environment of both cold and hot working.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoconductive silicone grease composition that exhibits excellent heat resistance and hardly causes oil bleeding. SOLUTION: The thermoconductive silicone grease composition includes at least (A) an organopolysiloxane represented by the general formula, (B) a thermoconductive filler and (C) an aluminum-based or titanium-based coupling agent. In the formula, R 1 's are the same or different and are each a monovalent hydrocarbon group; X's are the same or different and are each a monovalent hydrocarbon group or an alkoxysilyl-containing group represented by the general formula: -R 2 -SiR 1 a (OR 3 ) (3-a) (wherein R 1 is the same as above; R 2 is an oxygen atom or an alkylene group; R 3 is an alkyl group; and a is an integer of 0-2); and m and n are each an integer of at least 0. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide additives for lubricant for improving tribologic properties, to provide novel lubricants containing the additives, and to provide a process for the preparation thereof. SOLUTION: The lubricants contain nano particles, and the lubricants are characterized in that: the nano particles are ceramic particles which have preferably specified shapes and specified particle sizes and have specified thermal conductivity; the nano particles are dispersed in base material oil comprising natural oil, mineral oil and/or synthetic oil, ester oil or the like. The process for the preparation of the lubricants is also provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT

PCT No. PCT/CA97/00658 Sec. 371 Date Jun. 22, 1999 Sec. 102(e) Date Jun. 22, 1999 PCT Filed Sep. 11, 1997 PCT Pub. No. WO98/13445 PCT Pub. Date Apr. 2, 1998The present invention relates to novel lubricant compositions comprising a solid lubricant and a binding agent in water medium suitable for lubricating steel-steel interfaces such as tractor-trailer couplings, rail-wheel systems and other heavy duty applications. The invention also relates to compositions described above which include friction modifiers with high or very high and positive coefficients of friction such that the coefficient of friction is considerably higher than the solid lubricant. The invention further relates to compositions comprising a binding agent and a friction modifier with a very high and positive coefficient of friction in a water medium.
