Abstract:
A method for controlling the operation of a vacuum material handler providing secure communication between the wireless remote control and the receiver of a controller on the vacuum material handler. The method providing a haptic confirmation of a valid command. The method also providing a battery life extending sleep mode when left inactive for a predetermined length of time. The method further including a pendant remote in communication with the wireless remote control. The pendant remote being operable to command the vacuum material handler.
Abstract:
A controller with an RF interface is used to control a fan device which includes a fan motor and may also include a lighting device. The controller in some embodiments is in the form of a wall control module which may be mounted in a standard electrical wall box in a room in which the fan device to be controlled is located. To simplify installation and avoid the need for more than the normal 120 v power line used to power an outlet of light, from a 120V AC prospective the controller acts as a simple pass through device through which AC power is supplied to the fan device unit. As a safety, the controller includes an AC disconnect which can be used to cut all power to the fan unit.
Abstract:
Methods and systems are provided for enabling wireless control by use of portable power supply systems with embedded communication components. A power supply component, which is operable to store and discharge power, and which may be configured for use in a first device to supply power thereto in portable manner, may be configured to determine data associated with the power supply component. The data may comprise information relating to one or more conditions associated with use of power stored in the power supply component, in conjunction with operation of the first device. The power supply component may comprise a communication element, for wirelessly communicating messages to a second device that is physically separate from the first device, to control at least part of operations of the second device. Controlling operations of the second device may comprise activating or deactivating the second device based on use of power by the first device.
Abstract:
A method and system for applying over the air updates to a universal remote control device. The method and system include determining a group associated with the universal remote control based on a remote profile stored on at least one of: a memory of the universal remote control device, and a universal remote database hosted on an external server infrastructure. The method and system also include determining an over the air update that is applicable to the universal remote control device based on the group that is associated with the universal remote control device. The method and system additionally include determining a power level of a battery of the universal remote control device. The method and system further include applying the over the air update that is applicable to the universal remote control device based on the power level of the battery of the universal remote control device.
Abstract:
An electronic apparatus and a control method are provided that are capable of reducing power consumption. The electronic apparatus having a normal mode in which first electric power is consumed and a power-saving mode in which second electric power lower than the first electric power is consumed includes a first sensor and a second sensor whose power consumption is lower than that of the first sensor. In the power-saving mode, supply of power to the first sensor is restricted, the second sensor is set to the power-saving mode, a trigger for restoring the power-saving mode to the normal mode is detected by using the second sensor set to the power-saving mode, and the power-saving mode is restored to the normal mode based on the detected trigger.
Abstract:
Exemplary systems and methods for monitoring a current state of a spatially extensive supply network having at least one control station that monitors and controls the supply network and a plurality of sensors that transmit measurement values relating to operating behavior to the at least one control station. Current measurement values are measured at positions on the supply network corresponding to each sensor. Each sensor analyzes measured signal variations and signal trends of the measured current values via an evaluating unit. The measurement values of each respective sensor are transmitted to the at least one control station in data packets at a defined time. At each respective sensor, when the analysis detects an abnormal measurement signal variation, a frequency of transmission of the respective sensor and each adjacent sensor is increased, the respective sensor transmitting the measurement values to the at least one control station or to adjacent sensors to which the respective sensor is connected to through a common supply line and which measure an identical or physically similar quantity.
Abstract:
A remote control system can comprise a first remote control having a front side, a backside, and a first battery configured to provide a first electrical power to the first remote control. The front side can comprise at least a first button configured to wirelessly control a first device. The backside can comprise a battery access opening configured to enable replacing the first battery. As well, the remote control system can include a second battery cover that can block the battery access opening. The second battery cover can include a second remote control having a second battery configured to provide a second electrical power to the second remote control. The second remote control can be configured to wirelessly control a second device.

Abstract:
Provided is an electronic device. The electronic device includes a communicator that wirelessly connects the electronic device to an external device, and a controller that controls the communicator and transmits a wake-up signal to the external device, in response to an input to turn on the power of the electric device, to instruct the external device in a standby state to initiate an audio output preparing operation. The standby state corresponds to a state in which the external device attempts to establish a connection.
