Abstract: There is provided an image sensor for exposing a plurality of pixel rows within a frame period using a rolling shutter. The image sensor includes a processor for calculating bright-dark distribution patterns of image frames. The processor further adjusts the frame period to be substantially identical to a predetermined period by changing a total number of exposed line times within the frame period when a difference between the bright-dark distribution patterns of two image frames is larger than a predetermined threshold.

Abstract: A direction control apparatus with a sensor, a method for determining a driver status using the driving control apparatus, and a system for determining the driver status are provided. The direction control apparatus includes at least a pressure sensor to sense a plurality of pressure values applied to multiple positions of the direction control apparatus. When the pressure values are received by a controller of the apparatus, the driver status can be determined according to a change of pressure values over time, or further a change of the positions where pressure is applied. The system can connect with an autopilot system and an alarm system of a vehicle via the controller. Therefore, the system incorporates an autopilot system and issues an alarm when the driver status is determined to be abnormal.

Abstract: There is provided an optical engine for a navigation device including a first light source, a second light source, a lens, a carrier member and an image sensor. The carrier member has a light holder, a lens holder, an accommodation space and a tilted wall. The first light source is arranged on the light holder of the carrier member, and reflected light associated with the first light source penetrates through the lens to propagate to the image sensor inside the accommodation space. Reflected light associated with the second light source penetrates through the tilted wall of the carrier member to propagate to the image sensor.

Abstract: There is provided a touch detection circuit including a charging circuit, a discharging circuit, a counter and a processor. The charging circuit charges a detection capacitor within a charging interval using different currents. The discharging circuit discharges the detection capacitor within a discharging interval using different currents. The counter counts the charging interval and the discharging interval. The processor subtracts a baseline time from a counted charging time and a counted discharging time to cancel the noise interference.
