A network coding system of a multicast member node is provided to increase the data transmission rate by synthesizing and outputting the data transmitted after being scattered through multicast paths. An overlapping existence decider(110) checks whether or not plural multicast paths are placed at an overlapped position. If so, a network coding unit(120) codes the data transmitted after being scattered through each multicast path, and outputs the network coded data. A tree information receiver(130) receives multicast tree information from each multicast path.
Abstract:
A method for determining a hysteresis margin, a handover triggering method, and a mobile station performing the same are provided to reduce unnecessary handover by increasing the probability that the handover is performed to the cells of which qualities are expected to be improved most rapidly among adjacent cells. The intensity of a signal received from a serving cell and an adjacent cell during collection interval is obtained(S103). By using the intensity of the signal, the inclination of linearized signal corresponding to the serving cell and the adjacent cell is deduced(S105). By using the inclination, the hysteresis range corresponding to the adjacent cell is determined(S106).

A method for managing configuration information in a mobile communication system is provided to implement protocol converting and processing functions in an evolved radio access network to perform maintenance and administration functions in a BS(Base Station), thereby providing various protocols without having influence by the location or protocol of a server to perform configuration information administration anytime and anywhere. A method for managing configuration information in a mobile communication system comprises the following steps of: receiving a maintenance and administration processing message(S401); analyzing the received maintenance and administration processing message to check whether to convert the protocol of the received maintenance and administration processing message(S403); converting the protocol of maintenance and administration processing message suitable for internal communication when protocol conversion is required(S407); analyzing a configuration information processing command corresponding to the maintenance and administration processing message of which the protocol is converted(S409); and adding the configuration information to a configuration information DB when the configuration information processing command is related to a configuration information DB addition function and notifying a configuration information administration unit of the added message(S411~S415).

A method for allocating a dynamic IP address to an MS(Mobile Station) in a mobile communication system is provided to link a control plane process and a user plane process in an IP-based next generation mobile communication system, thereby reducing the frequency of signal exchange processes for the allocation of an IPv6 address and reducing the entire process delay. A method for allocating a stateless IPv6(Internet Protocol Version6) address to an MS(Mobile Station)(300) comprises the following steps of: allowing the MS to generate an active PDP(Packet Data Protocol) context request message and transmit the active PDP context request message to an MME/UPE(Mobility Management Entity/User Plane Entity)(312); allowing the session management block of the MME/UPE to perform authentication and configuration processes for a stateless IPv6 address auto configuration process; allowing the session management block of the MME/UPE to transmit a router solicitation message included into the active PDP context request message to the IP(Internet Protocol) gateway block of the MME/UPE and allowing the IP gateway block to transmit a router advertisement message to the session management block; acquiring a global IPv6 address; allowing the session management block to transmit an active PDP context accept message to the MS; and allowing the MME/UPE to store the global IPv6 address in a PDP context.

A device for determining the number of paging groups in a mobile communication system, a method therefor, and a paging method using the method are provided to determine the paging groups in order to reduce an error during a paging indication procedure as decreasing battery consumption of a terminal in the mobile communication system where paging indication is performed through the paging groups. When a base station receives an information delivery indication message including number information of an idle- state terminal from a paging server, the number information of the terminal is stored. The base station calculates the number of paging indicators by using the stored idle-state terminal number information, active-state terminal number information, paging group reflecting coefficients, maximum number information of the idle-state terminal, and maximum number information of an active-state terminal. The calculated paging indicator number information is included in a system information message, and the message is transmitted to the terminal.

A vertical handoff method is provided to prevent degradation of performance due to an increase in a delay time of vertical handoff, degradation of data throughput, degradation of terminal battery efficiency, and an increase in probability of a failure of vertical handoff. A serving network of a terminal is determined(S110). When the serving network is the first network and an RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indication) received from the second network is greater than the first threshold value, it is determined whether to perform the first vertical handoff by using a result obtained by estimating a transition pattern of the RSSI(S103,S105,S107,S109). When the serving network is the second network and the RSSI received from the second network is smaller than the second threshold value, it is determined whether to perform the second vertical handoff by using a result obtained by estimating a transition pattern of the RSSI(S111,S113,S115,S117,S119).

A method, an apparatus, and a system for transmitting interworking information between a mobile communication system and a BWA(Broadband Wireless Access) system are provided to reduce the overall handover delay by performing an initial wireless access procedure and a signaling procedure for a service of the BWA system during an operation of the mobile communication system when handover is performed from the mobile communication system to the BWA system. A signal receiver(101) receives a cell broadcast service message or system information, including interworking information of a BWA system, from an UMTS(Universal Mobile Telecommunication System). A BWA unit(102) performs an activation/deactivation function of a BWA module according to signal processing with the BWA system. An UMTS access unit(103) performs an activation/deactivation function of a mobile communication access module according to signal processing with the BWA system. A controller(106) establishes a communication connection between a mobile terminal and the BWA system based on the cell broadcast service message or the system information.
