Abstract:
Articles comprising coemulsions of oxidized polyethylene with amino functional silicone fluids which includes at least one constituent selected from the group consisting of: ethoxylated aliphatic amines, ethoxylated nonylphenols, ethoxylated primary alcohols, ethoxylated secondary alcohols or other nonionic emulsifiers are taught, as well as processes for making the same. The coemulsions may also comprise further constituents, including but not limited to fatty acids, ammonium hydroxide, salts and water. Processes for the production of the coemulsion and articles comprising the same are also disclosed.

Abstract:
An environmental control system (10) for an aircraft including a variable bleed air flow control means (16), an air cycle air conditioning means (26) and a variable recirculation air flow means (84). The system is configured to maintain a desired minimum volumetric air circulation rate through the aircraft with variable passenger fresh air requirements.
Abstract:
A brake control system which provides both adaptive braking operation and traction control operation includes a brake lining temperature prediction mechanism which enables the control system either to permit traction control operation or to disable traction control operation so that the brake linings will not be worn out prematurely by traction control operation when the linings are above a temperature threshold.
Abstract:
Torque in a shaft is measured by a torque sensor comprising at leat one strain gage. The strain gage has a magnetic circuit comprising a magnetostrictive, soft ferromagnetic element (20). A drive mechanism (28) applies a first and a second magnetomotive force to the magnetic circuit. The second magnetomotive force has a sense opposite that of the first magnetomotive force. A sensing mechanism (34) senses the state of magnetization of the ferromagnetic element and a detecting mechanism (45) determines the magnitude of that magnetic field applied to the ferromagnetic element by the second magnetomotive force which reduces the magnetization of the element to zero. Torque is derived from the strain indicated by a change in the coercive of the ferromagnetic element.
