PURPOSE: A foil is orientated mono axially, which has increased intensity, improved optical property, and barrier effect. CONSTITUTION: A foil with a mono axial orientation substantially consists of one or several polymers which are biologically degradable and compostable, as well as maximum 5 % by weight nucleating agents, maximum 5 % by weight common stabilizers and neutralizers, maximum 5 % by weight common internal lubricants and parting agents and maximum 5 % by weight common anti griping agents.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biodegradable resin composition having excellent biodegradability and excellent transparency.SOLUTION: In the biodegradable resin composition including a hardly hydrolyzable biodegradable resin (A) and an ester degradation accelerator (B), the resin composition is mixed with a copolyester containing a hardly hydrolyzable polyester segment (X) and a readily hydrolyzable polyester segment (Y) in a weight ratio of X/Y of 75/25-10/90 as the ester degradation accelerator (B).

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biodegradable plastic composition of which the biodegradation rate can be stably controlled and which has improved hydrolysis resistance and heat resistance and retains clarity; a molded article thereof; and a method for controlling the biodegradation rate of a biodegradable plastic. SOLUTION: This biodegradable plastic composition is prepared by compounding (A) a biodegradable plastic, especially an aliphatic polyester, of 100 pts.wt. with (B) a carbodiimide compound of 0.01-5 pts.wt. and (C) an antioxidant, especially a hindered phenol antioxidant having a molecular weight of 400 or higher or a mixture of the hindered phenol antioxidant with a phosphite antioxidant, of 0.01-3 pts.wt.
