Abstract:
A pneumatic tyre comprises a belt (7) disposed radially outside a carcass (6) in a tread portion (2), the belt (7) comprising two crossed plies (7A,7B) of monofilament metallic cords (10A,10B,10C) laid at angles of from 15 to 30 degrees with respect to the circumferential direction of the tyre, each monofilament cord being composed of a waved single filament, the filament having a non-circular sectional shape having an aspect ratio in a range of from 0.65 to 0.95 and a cross-sectional area in a range of 0.09 to 0.20 sq.mm.
Abstract:
Provided are a reinforcement material, not causing undesired stress and having excellent shape stability characteristics, a rubber product using the material and a method for producing the product, and a pneumatic tire using the material and a method for producing the tire. The reinforcement material for rubber has a flat coil shape where, when the material is in a single free state, loop portions are partly superposed on each other in sequence, and is embedded in a rubber product such as a pneumatic tire.
Abstract:
A pneumatic tyre comprises a carcass (6) extending between bead portions (4) through a tread portion (7) and sidewall portions (3), and a belt (7) disposed radially outside of the carcass in the tread portion (2), wherein the belt (7) comprises at least one monofilament cord ply (11) made of parallel monofilament cords (10), each monofilament cord is a single metallic filament (F) having a circular cross sectional shape, a diameter of from 0.35 to 0.70 mm, a tensile strength of from 2800 to 3700 Newton/sq.mm, and a bending rigidity of from 35 to 260 gf cm, and the cord count of the monofilament cords in the monofilament cord ply is in a range of from 30 to 50 /5 cm.

Abstract:
A process for producing a steel cord for pneumatic tyres with a bunch of wires, the core of which consists of wire filaments (10) arranged in a bunch parallel and adjacent to one another. There are advantageously at least three wire filaments (10, 20), where at least two wire filaments (10) are spirally wound as filaments (10) forming a core (60) and run parallel and beside each other and at least one wire filament is spirally wound around the two core filaments (10) as the wrapping wire (20). According to the invention, the spiral deformation of the wire filaments (10) is obtained by false twisters (40). This spiral deformation of the wire filaments (10) especially prevents migration of the filaments from the cord composite. It is an advantage if residual torsional stresses between the core filaments and in connection with the restoring forces of the wrapping wire are relieved. The steel cord also advantageously has a flattened, especially oval, shape.
