A cooling apparatus body (11), for example, for a refrigerator (10), has a first compartment (15) intended for storage of items at atmospheric pressure and a second compartment (16) for storage of items at subatmospheric pressure, the two compartments: being surrounded by surrounds formed by a thermal insulation element (13). The second compartment (16) is lined within the associated surround by a separately constructed hermetic liner (23) bonded to that surround. The liner (23) can be an integrally formed box-shaped component produced by, for example, injection moulding or blow moulding from plastics material. The resistance of the liner (23) to the internal load of subatmospheric pressure is provided primarily by the thermal insulation lining surround and the bond therewith, so that the liner, whilst providing a hermetic barrier relative to the surround, can be of inexpensive lightweight construction.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Wandbauelement zur Erstellung von Raumzellen aber auch Wandverkleidungen, bestehend aus innen- und außenwandseitigen, sich parallel zueinander erstreckenden Deckflächen (1,1') aus dünnem Blech, wobei der von den Deckflächen (1,1') begrenzte Hohlraum (2) mit einer Wärmedämmung (3) ausgefüllt ist. Nach der Erfindung ist die zwischen den Deckflächen (1,1') angeordnete Wärmedämmung (3) aus mehreren in Fläche ziegelartig angeordneten Formkörpern (4) gebildet, die jeweils aus feuerfest gebundenen Perlitpartikeln gebildet sind und die untereinander unter Ausbildung von Dehnungsfugen (5) mit den beiden Deckflächen (1,1') feuerfest verklebt sind.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Kühl- und/oder Gefriergerät umfassend einen gekühlten Innenraum sowie ein Verschlusselement, durch das der Innenraum verschließbar ist, wobei der Innenraum und/oder das Verschlusselement zum Zwecke der Wärmedämmung über eine Schicht aus Isolationsmaterial verfügt, wobei sich in der Schicht aus Isolationsmaterial wenigstens ein Bauteil befindet, das keine feste Verbindung zu dem Isolationsmaterial aufweist.

A machine (10) for the production and dispensing of chilled food products comprises a tank (11) containing an evaporator (12) which forms part of a refrigerating circuit of the machine and a motorized mixer (13) which rotates coaxially with the evaporator, with evaporator and mixer which project inside the tank through a rear sealed opening (14) thereof, the tank being moreover provided at the front with a tap (15) for dispensing the product through a dispensing outlet (16) arranged above a dispensing zone (17) intended to house a container for receiving the product. A shell (21) of the opening type is arranged so as to enclose at least partially the tank and form a covering for at least partial thermal insulation of the tank from the external environment.

A compressor of a refrigeration cycle device is provided with a compression means for compressing a moving medium, a driving means for driving the compression means, a power supply terminal for supplying electric power from the exterior to the interior of the compressor, and a plurality of leads for electrically connecting the driving means and the power supply terminal to each other. Each of the leads is covered by an insulating material at least in the portion where the leads are bound to each other, the insulating material having a resistance against heat of at least 300°C.

A three-dimensional (3D) vacuum insulation panel (VIP) and a folding approach to create the 3D VIP from a two-dimensional (2D) VIP of non-uniform thickness for a refrigerator, a refrigerator freezer or a non-appliance, are disclosed. The folding approach includes placing a VIP main panel and a plurality of VIP wall panels on an outer film, where one or more panels are of a greater thickness than other VIP panels; placing an inner film on top of the VIP main and wall panels and sealing the films together. The inner film is longer than the outer film and this allows the films and the VIP wall panels to be folded into a finished panel, wherein the longer inner film allows for fording without causing tears or micro-cracks in the film that would adversely affect the insulation properties of the three-dimensional (3D) VIP.

The cooler is comprised of an outer basin having an open top, a plurality of cork panels lining the outer basin, a transparent inner basin having an open top which is constructed and arranged to hold and maintain the plurality of cork panels against the outer basin, a lid hingedly connected to the inner and outer basin, such that the lid can be positioned anywhere between a completely closed position to a completely open position and anywhere in between with the lid supporting itself in the chosen position.
