Provided are an input device in which a defect of a control disk is eliminated while making use of an advantage of the control disk and an electronic device using the input device. The input device (1A, 1B, 1C) includes: an operation panel (3), which is operated by a user; a board (12), which is arranged to be opposed to a surface opposite to an operation surface of the operation panel (3) operated by the user; a conductive elastic body (6) and a pusher (5), which are fixed on the operation panel; and a sensor portion (11) and a member to be pressed (10), which are placed on the board (12) to be opposed to the conductive elastic body (6) and the pusher (5), respectively. A center of the conductive elastic body (6) and a center of the pusher (5) do not overlap each other in a radial direction with reference to a center of the operation surface of the operation panel (3).

The invention relates to a keyboard and to a method for producing a keyboard for activating electrical switching functions, comprising: a first substrate having a first contact structure; a second substrate having a second contact structure, and; an intermediate layer that holds both contact structures at a distance from one another and enables a contacting of both contact structures when pressure is exerted upon predetermined areas of the keyboard. Both contact structures are imprinted by means of a mass printing process.

A switch (10) comprises first and second substrates (14, 20) with conductive surfaces, the conductive surfaces being optionally the conductive surfaces of conductive layers (16, 22), opposed to each other across a gap. The first substrate (14) is flexible and comprises an intrinsically conductive substituted or unsubstituted polythiophene, optionally as a conductive coating (16). The switch may complete an electrical circuit comprising wires (28, 30) when one of substrates is pressed toward the other of the substrates and the two conductive surfaces touch. The polarity applied to the intrinsically conductive substituted or unsubstituted polythiophene surface is preferably negative. The voltage applied to the electrical circuit is preferably less than five volts; more preferably, the voltage applied to the electrical circuit is less than three volts; even more preferably, the voltage applied to the electrical circuit is less than one volt.

In a multi-directional operation switch, an operating disk, upon being pressed at its upper side, tilts to depress a elastic pressing member, thus making hard rings of the driving member to press a resistor sheet sequentially. This operation allows resistor layers beneath the resistor sheet to directly contact annular electrically conductive layers facing the resistor layers in a desired sequence, respectively. The multi-directional operation switch has a reduced height and can produce a number of switching signals according to desired angular directions of switching operations.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Tastaturanordnung für eine elektronische Vorrichtung, insbesondere für eine mobile elektronische Vorrichtung, wie beispielsweise ein Mobilfunk-Endgerät, umfassend wenigstens eine Tastaturmatte (12) mit wenigstens einem Bedienungselement (16, 28), wobei das wenigstens eine Bedienungselement (16, 28) auf einer Betätigungsseite (14) von der wenigstens einen Tastaturmatte (12) vorspringt und wobei das wenigstens eine Bedienungselement (16, 28) auf einer der Betätigungsseite (14) abgewandten Kontaktseite (44) mit elektrisch leitenden Kontaktmitteln (46) versehen ist, wobei weiter das Bedienungselement (16, 28) bei Druckbeaufschlagung (P) aus einer Ruhestellung in eine Kontaktstellung verlagerbar ist, in welcher wenigstens zwei diesem zugeordnete elektrische Kontakte (50, 52) einer elektronischen Schaltung (48) über die Kontaktmittel (46) elektrisch leitend verbindbar oder verbunden sind. Bei der Erfindung ist vorgesehen, daß die Kontaktmittel (46) einen dem jeweiligen Bedienungselement (16, 28) separat zugeordneten Kontaktkörper (46) aus elektrisch leitendem, elastisch deformierbarem Material umfassen. The present invention relates to a lighted switch used in input sections of various kinds of electronic devices, and a uniformly luminous EL sheet diaphragm and a lighted switch which is of a thin structure using the same are provided. The uniformly luminous EL sheet diaphragm is formed by molding a diaphragm portion 2 in a diffusion-type EL sheet which comprises a transparent electrode layer 4 formed on a transparent film 3, a light emitting layer 5, a dielectric layer 6, a rear electrode layer 7 and an insulating layer 8 in such manner that a light emitting surface is in a convex side, and the switch is provided by an electrode contact layer 9 newly formed on the insulating layer 8 in a concave side of the EL sheet diaphragm and an opposed electrode contact layer 11 formed on an insulating film base 10 opposite thereto, so that the thin structure can be achieved. Further, the transparent electrode layer 4 of the EL sheet diaphragm is formed by printing and drying a paste prepared by dispersing conductive powders that has a visible light transmittance in an insulating resin, and a high dielectric constant and flexible resin selected from vinylidene fluoride rubber and a blended resin of cyanated pullulan or cyanated cellulose and cyanated polyvinyl alcohol is employed as a binder resin for the light emitting layer 5 and dielectric layer 6, so that light emission failures due to wire breakage in the diaphragm portion 2 can be reduced, and a high quality EL sheet diaphragm and a switch using the same can be provided.
