The handheld terminal comprises: a first transparent display unit disposed on one of a front side and a back side of the handheld terminal; a second transparent display unit disposed on the other side, or a first and a second gesture detection units disposed on the two sides respectively; a drive module comprising a first display drive module for the first transparent display unit, and one of the following two constituent parts: a second display drive module for the second transparent display unit, or a first and a second gesture detection drive modules for the first and second gesture detection units respectively; and a processing module configured to cause an image to be displayed on the first transparent display unit, and to perform one of the two operations of: causing the image or another image different from the image to be displayed on the second transparent display unit; or processing a gesture input detected via at least one of the first and second gesture detection units.

A user terminal device is provided. The user terminal device includes: a communicator; a display; and a processor configured to receive a message from another electronic device through the communicator, control the display to display the received message, and based on the received message being a multimedia message including at least one of an image, a sound, and a video by analyzing the received message, control the display to display a recommended response list corresponding to a type of content included in a multimedia message. Therefore, convenience of a user using the user terminal device is improved.

Embodiments of the present invention disclose a dialing method for a user terminal, so as to simplify a dialing procedure of the user terminal and improve efficiency of a user dialing operation. The method according to the embodiments of the present invention includes: detecting, by a user terminal, at least one entering operation performed on a moment indication numeral on a clock dial, where the clock dial is displayed on a standby screen of the user terminal; determining, by the user terminal, a dialing numeral corresponding to the entering operation; generating, by the user terminal, a dialing number according to the dialing numeral; and performing, by the user terminal, a call by using the dialing number as a called number. In the embodiments of the present invention, a user may perform a dialing operation by using the standby screen of the user terminal, and can perform the dialing operation without a need to enter a home screen by using the standby screen and then enter a dialing screen by using the home screen. Therefore, the dialing procedure of the user terminal is simplified, and efficiency of the user dialing operation is improved.

The present invention provides a message prompting method and a message prompting device. The message prompting method includes: displaying new notification messages of preset applications at a head of a message queue on a tray interface of a terminal. Through a technical solution of the present invention, notification messages of the preset applications are displayed on the head of the tray interface of the terminal for convenience of viewing, thereby not only ensuring no important notification message being missed, but also satisfying needs of individual users for personalized settings of tray notification.
