The invention relates to a loudspeaker with a large surface area of a sandwich layer construction, comprising several conducting and non-conducting layers, forming an active sound-emitting loudspeaker surface with a first membrane film (1) coated with an electrically conducting layer (3), a second membrane film (2) coated with an electrically conducting layer (4), a static high voltage supply (9), generating an electric field between the first electrically conducting layer (3) and the second electrically conducting layer (4), an audio source (10) which influences the high voltage field between the first electrically-conducting layer (3) ad the second electrically-conducting layer (4) by means of a capacitor (15). The invention is characterised in that the first membrane film, coated with an electrically conducting layer, forms a sandwich with the second membrane film (2), coated with an electrically-conducting layer, across a first elastic and non-conducting buffer layer (5), extending over the active loudspeaker surface.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Plattenlautsprecher mit zumindest zwei Platten (1a bis 1g), zumindest einem Schwingungserzeuger (3), welcher an einer der zumindest zwei Platten so angeordnet ist, dass durch ihn die Platte zum Schwingen anregbar ist, gekennzeichnet durch zumindest ein Koppelelement (5a bis 5f), welches an je zweien der zumindest zwei Platten diese miteinander verbindend so angeordnet ist, dass es Schwingungen einer der zwei Platten zumindest teilweise auf die andere der zwei Platten überträgt.

A directional loudspeaker provides an enhanced listening environment by producing an indirect sound field of greater amplitude than that of the direct sound field. The directional loudspeaker includes loudspeaker elements positioned to provide a listener located below the loudspeaker elements with an impression of sound spaciousness in a vehicle environment. The loudspeaker elements may include baffles or acoustic lenses to deflect the indirect field away from the path to the listener position. The loudspeaker may also be operated with windows open by channeling the indirect sound field through an acoustic waveguide and deflector to the listener. A sound processor is also provided to accept a sound input, create an indirect and direct sound field, output the sound fields to loudspeaker elements, and also may provide electronic enhancement effects such as multi-channel sound or sound parameter adjustment.

A ceramic-type loudspeaker is provided which can be disposed in any position without marring (spoiling) the design of a room where this loudspeaker is installed and without imposing restrictions on environmental conditions. The ceramic-type loudspeaker which is driven by a drive unit that outputs an audio signal includes: a speaker driver 50 which is formed by electrically connecting a primary winding 54 of a second transformer 46 in series with a secondary winding 53 of a first transformer 45 in which an audio signal is inputted from the drive unit; and a serial-parallel circuit portion 69 which is formed by connecting a plurality of series circuits in parallel, the plurality of series circuits being formed by connecting, in series, first, second ceramic vibrators 25, 26 and third, fourth ceramic vibrators 27, 28 which are driven through an audio signal from a secondary winding 56 of the second transformer 46 of the speaker driver 50. The speaker driver 50 makes an impedance match between the drive unit and the serial-parallel circuit portion 69.

A speaker attaching construction wherein speakers (1) are removably installed in a plurality of places in such a manner that a fastener (8) having an engaging section (8b) provided on one surface side of a locking plate (8a) and having a locking section (8d), which is formed with a locking piece (8h), provided on the other surface side of the locking plate (8a) has its engaging section (8b) inserted in an engagement receiving section (2f) of a frame (2) and each speaker (1) is attached to an attaching plate (4) by clamping the attaching plate (4) by the locking piece (8h) passed through an attaching hole (4c) in the attaching plate (4) and elastically restored and by the locking plate (8a), thus making it possible to facilitate the attaching operation and to stably install a speaker without the possibility of stresses due to the elastic force being loaded on the frame.

Es wird eine Flachlautsprecheranordnung mit mehreren gleichartigen Plattenlautsprechern vorgestellt, die nahtlos aneinandergereiht sind derart, dass die einzelnen Plattenlautsprecher eine starre, scherfeste Kantenverbindung zu den jeweils benachbarten Plattenlautsprechern haben und die von einer gegebenen tragfähigen Wand gehaltert werden.
