A non-aqueous inkjet ink comprising a pigment and a mixture of at least two polyalkyleneglycol dialkylethers represented by Formula (I):
wherein, R 1 and R 2 are each independently selected from an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms; Y represents an ethylene group or a propylene group; wherein n is an integer selected from 4 to 20 for a first polyalkyleneglycol dialkylether; and n is an integer selected from 5 to 20 for a second polyalkyleneglycol dialkylether. A method for preparing a non-aqueous inkjet ink is also disclosed.
Abstract:
A method for making a lithographic printing plate is disclosed which comprises the steps of: (1) providing a heat-sensitive lithographic printing plate precursor comprising on a support having a hydrophilic surface or which is provided with a hydrophilic layer, a heat-sensitive coating, said coating comprising a first layer comprising a first polymer which is water-insoluble and alkali-soluble, and on said first layer, a second layer comprising a second polymer which is water-insoluble and alkali-soluble, and an infrared absorbing dye, present in at least one of said first and second layer, (2) image-wise exposing said precursor with IR-radiation or heat whereby said second layer exhibits an increased solubility in an aqueous alkaline developing solution, and (3) developing said image-wise exposed precursor with an aqueous alkaline developing solution, said solution comprising an alkali metal or ammonium salt of an aliphatic carboxylic acid, having 8 to 11 carbon atoms. According to the above method, the formation of insoluble products in the developing solution is inhibited or reduced.

A composition that is photopolymerizable upon absorption of light and/or heat, the composition including a binder, a polymerizable compound, a sensitizer, and a photoinitiator, characterized in that the composition includes, with respect to its non-volatile compounds, at least about 0.01 wt. % of a polythiol compound, and wherein the composition when coated on a support has a sensitivity of about 150 μJ/cm2 or higher, in combination with a high hardness.

An inkjet ink for preparing a lithographic printing plate containing a contrast dye comprising A, D and B groups wherein A represents a phosphorous containing group capable of reacting with the surface of a lithographic receiver; D represents a chromophore group absorbing light between 400 and 700 nm; B represents an aliphatic group of at least 6 carbon atoms. A lithographic printing plate and methods for direct plate making by jetting on a printing plate precursor are also disclosed.

A non-aqueous pigment dispersion comprising a quinacridone pigment, a polymeric dispersant and a dispersion synergist in a dispersion medium characterized in that the dispersion synergist is a quinacridone derivative containing at least one carboxylic acid group or a salt thereof. A method for printing an ink-jet image is also disclosed.
