Abstract:
PURPOSE: A device for providing a 3D service by interlinking a separately transmitted additional image with a reference image transmitted in real time and a method thereof are provided to form a high definition 3D service by inserting a signaling plan for a reference relation between two images and time information. CONSTITUTION: A real time reference image stream is decoded as a reference image(10) through a reference image generator(130). The real time reference image stream is delivered to a 3D play unit(160). Interlinking information and synchronization information in the real time reference image stream are delivered to a reception and storage unit(150). The reception and storage unit delivers a file or an additional image-related stream to be interlinked with the reference image and an additional image(20) synchronized with the reference image to the 3D play unit through the interlinking information and the synchronization information. PURPOSE: A broadband local wireless communication method and method thereof are provided to enlarge communication arrival distance. CONSTITUTION: A source device(110) searches a list of relay devices(130,131,132) in a basic service set. A channel state between a source device and a relay device and a channel state between a target device(140) and relay device are confirmed. A relay device to operate is selected as a relay between the source device and the target device. A relay link setting request message is transmitted to the selected relay device. A relay link is set through the selected relay device.

PURPOSE: A wireless communication system capable of reducing power consumption and a method thereof are provided to reduce power consumption. CONSTITUTION: A receiving terminal receives scheduling information associated with data transmission and reception of a transmitting terminal. The receiving terminal directly performs communication with the transmitting terminal by referring to the scheduling information. A scheduling information includes information about the data transmission period. A controller(220) controls a communication unit(210) in order to be operated in a sleep mode excluding the data transmission period.

PURPOSE: A relay link setup method and apparatus in a wireless communication system are provided to transfer a data frame by using a relay. CONSTITUTION: The capacitance information of at least one relay support station included in a wireless communication system is received from an access point or PCP(PBSS central Point)(S301). By using not only the beamforming information among a source station, a destination station and a support station but the capacitance information, one of the relay support stations is selected as a relay station(S303). A relay link setup request frame is transferred to the destination station(S305). A relay link setup frame including relay link setup result information is received from the destination station(S307).

PURPOSE: A frame generation apparatus for protecting variable length header information in a broadband high frequency wireless system and a method thereof are provided to convert a variable length header of a frame into a fixed length header, thereby protecting variable length header information. CONSTITUTION: A frame basic header generator(1210) generates a frame basic header. A frame selection header generator(1220) generates a frame selection header. A MAC sub header generator(1222) of the frame selection header generator generates a fixed length MAC sub header.

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for transmitting and receiving data using a multi-path in a wireless communication system of distributed MAC are provided to transmit data through a path with the best channel status. CONSTITUTION: A connection management unit(1309) manages connection for link setup with a relay device and a destination device. A relay reservation management unit(1311) performs a relay reservation process for transmitting data through the relay device. A data transceiving path selecting unit(1315) determines through which path between a direct path or a relay path data will be transmitted.

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for transmitting and receiving data in a wireless communication system based on a centralized MAC(Medium Access Control) are provided to smoothly communicate data through a relay route by a piconet coordinator even though a direct route of LOS(Line of Sight) is blocked between devices and a state of a channel is not good. CONSTITUTION: A route setting unit(201) sets up a communication route of a correspondence device and a piconet coordinator. A route determining unit(203) determines whether the set communication route is available. A route selecting unit(207) selects one among the communication routes according to whether the set communication route is available. A data transceiving unit(209) exchanges data through the selected route.

PURPOSE: A dynamic link adaptive method for the UEP of a video signal in a broadband high frequency wireless system and an apparatus thereof are provided to improve the transmission speed by concentrating the error control on more important signal components. CONSTITUTION: A UEP(Unequal Error Protection) transmission device(100) considering a dynamic link comprises a UEP transmission controller(110), a bit segmentation unit(160) and a channel coding unit(183). The UEP transmission controller confirms a bit segmentation position which distinguishes the bit space size and importance of each pixel component, in consideration of a channel condition when video data is inputted, and then controls so that the error correction coding can be used for correcting relatively more errors in a pixel component having high importance.
