Abstract:
The invention relates to thermally conductive greases that may contain carrier oil(s), dispersant(s), and thermally conductive particles, wherein the thermally conductive particles are a mixture of at least three distributions of thermally conductive particles, each of the at least three distributions of thermally conductive particles having an average (D50) particle size which differs from the other average particle sizes by at least a factor of five. The thermally conductive greases of the invention exhibit desirable rheological behavior during installation/ application and during use of devices involving these materials.
Abstract:
A silicone grease composition comprising 3-30 wt% of an organopolysiloxane and 60-96.9 wt% of a heat conductive filler is diluted with a least volatile isoparaffin having a boiling point of 260-360°C. Despite a heavy loading of heat conductive filler, the grease composition is easily applicable to heat sinks as a thin uniform coating. The composition is drastically increased in shelf stability at room temperature, easy to handle, and provides for good heat dissipation.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a threaded component for a seizure-resistant tubular threaded joint wherein a lubricating substance is deposited in a thin film on at least the surface of the threads of the threading, said surface being treated to adsorb said lubricating substance. The lubricating substance consists of a homogeneous mixture of a) a thickening agent; b) a set of extreme-pressure additives physically and chemically compatible with the thickening agent and comprising at least an extreme-pressure additive with chemical action called chemical EP additive and capable of being used at Hertz pressures not less than 1000 Mpa's; c) an oil. The proportions of the constituents of the lubricating substance are selected such that said lubricating substance has a consistency capable of ensuring a self-induced and film-forming lubricating process. The invention also concerns a method for producing the thin film.

These adducts are useful, e.g., in drilling muds and in viscosity modification of a wide variety of fluids.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A lubricating grease having a high dropping point, good stability against oxidation and long life contains a thickener comprising essentially the three components: lithium soap of C12-24 hydroxy fatty acid; lithium phosphate salt produced from phosphoric or phosphorous acid ester and dilithium borate. The amounts of hydroxy fatty acid and phosphoric or phosphorous acid ester are 3-100 parts by weight and 0.05-15 parts by weight per part by weight of boric acid respectively.
