Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a shaped body comprising lignin which may be further processed into intermediate carbon fibers and finally also carbon fibers. Uses of said fibers are also disclosed. The present invention addresses the problem of lignin leaching into a precipitation bath. The solution to this problem is a novel method for minimizing the loss of lignin through the addition of certain salts into the precipitation bath.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a Denim protective fabric, with fire-retardant properties, and the process of dyeing the warp with indigo blue dye on a mixture of cellulosic and synthetic fibres, in order to obtain a permanently fire-retardant fabric, resistant to flame, heat, breaking, tearing, cutting and abrasion by impact. The resulting fabric is also antistatic and can be considered as a protective fabric like fire-retardant Denim and also a multi-risk fabric. The indigo blue dye is applied on a mixture of cellulosic and synthetic fibres with permanently fire-retardant properties such as fire-retardant viscose, fire-retardant modal, modacrylic, polyacrylate, polyamide, polyester, antistatic carbon, para-aramid, meta-aramid, polyamide-imide, polyethylene, PBI, with the aim of obtaining an authentic Denim jeans fabric, with the characteristics of the tincture based on indigo blue dye that loses its colour on rubbing, with use and washing.
Abstract:
A cord for reinforcing rubber articles according to the present invention is formed by a thread with ply-twisted cellulose fiber twisted with a thread of ply-twisted nylon fiber. The ply twist number of the nylon fiber is less than the ply twist number of the cellulose fiber. A pneumatic tire according to the present invention uses the cord for reinforcing rubber articles according to the present invention in a ply cord of the carcass.
Abstract:
A stretch-bonded elastic nonwoven composite includes a machine-direction elastic apertured film-based, stretch-bonded laminate layer that has been hydroentangled throughout all of its laminate layers with a hydrophilic fibrous layer. The elastic apertured film-based, stretch-bonded laminate layer includes a middle elastic film layer positioned between one or two inelastic layers, each of which layers includes hydrophilic fibers from the hydrophilic fibrous layer.
Abstract:
Flame resistant fabrics are formed by warp and fill yarns having different fiber contents. The fabrics are constructed, for example, by selection of a suitable weaving pattern, such that the body side of the fabric and the face side of the fabric have different properties. The fabrics described herein can be printable and dyeable on both sides of the fabric and are suitable for use in military and industrial garments. Methods of forming flame resistant fabrics, and methods for forming garments from the fabrics, are also described.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for the manufacture of fibrous yarn comprising the steps, where an aqueous suspension (100) comprising fibers and at least one rheology modifier is provided, followed by directing said suspension (100) through at least one nozzle (20a, 20b, 20c, 30a, 30b, 30c, 40a, 40b, 40c), to form at least one yarn, and then dewatering said yarn.
Abstract:
A flame retardant fibre blend comprising 40% to 60% by weight of a modacrylic; 5% to 25% by weight of a natural cellulosic material; and 20% to 40% by weight of a FR viscose based material; wherein any remaining weight % is made up of any one or a combination of the modacrylic, cellulosic or FR viscose. The fibre blend is particularly suitable for the manufacture of a 'universal' fabric configured to be resistant to flame, electric discharge and molten metal hazards.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a cellulose-based filament for a tire cord, a bundle including the same, a twisted yarn including the same, and a tire cord including the same, and more particularly to a cellulose-based filament for a tire cord, having an elongation maintaining rate of 120% or more when the filament is made into a dipped cord having S twisting and Z twisting levels of 470 TPM respectively and the elongation of the dipped cord is compared with the elongation of a dipped bundle having no twisting (0 TPM) and including the filament, a bundle including the same, a twisted yarn including the same, and a tire cord including the same. The cellulose-based filament for a tire cord has advantages in that strength deterioration due to twisting is remarkably low and elongation is improved, and thus the fatigue resistance is good.
