Abstract:
The invention relates to a construction kit (B) for creating paved areas (2), comprising a number of laying units (1), wherein each laying unit (1) is made up of shaped blocks (3) in the form of slabs arranged offset in relation to one another. In this case, each row comprises a maximum of three shaped blocks (3; 4, 5), wherein only one shaped block (3; 4, 5) or only shaped blocks (3; 4, 5) of different lengths are arranged within each row.
Abstract:
Abstract:
An irregular, tessellated building unit comprises x primary elements, wherein x is an integer equal to or greater than 1. The primary element (20) is a rotational tessellation having a plural pairs of sides extending in a generally radial direction from plural vertices, respectively. In each pair, the two sides are rotationally spaced by an angle that is divided evenly into 360 degrees. Preferably, all of the sides are irregularly shaped, but one or more sides could be wholly or partially straight. Optionally, spacers are provided on the sides of each unit. A wide variety of units may be constructed having different numbers and arrangements of primary elements (20). As all the units are combinations of primary elements (20), they readily mate with each other. A surface covering (10) comprises a multiplicity of units assembled to form a continuous surface without overlap between units and without substantial gaps.
Abstract:
Multiple molded polymeric panels of various configurations are mechanically fastened together along a side surface having alternating upright and downward facing steps containing fastening elements to provide putting greens of different dimensions and shape. Each panel has a planar top surface and a bottom integral grid supporting structure. A simulated grass overlies the joined panels. Raised pads are optionally placed between the top surface of the panels and the simulated grass to provide a contoured green.
Abstract:
An artificial flagstone for use in combination with other similar flagstones for covering a surface with a natural random look, the flagstone having a generally hexagonal body comprising a first, second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth consecutive vertices; a first pair of generally congruent irregularly-shaped first and second sides extending radially from the first vertex and being rotationally spaced from each other by an angle α of approximately 120°; a second pair of generally congruent irregularly shaped third and fourth sides extending radially from the third vertex and being rotationally spaced from each other by an angle β of approximately 120°; a third pair of generally congruent irregularly shaped fifth and sixth sides extending radially from the fifth vertex and being rotationally spaced from each other by an angle ω of approximately 120°; wherein the sides of each of the first, second and third pair of sides have at least one split deviation along their length and are respectively rotational images of each other, whereby in use in combination with other flagstones, each one of the sides is matingly engageable with the sides of an equivalent pair of sides of a neighbouring flagstone.
Abstract:
The invention relates to paving consisting of (concrete) paving stones (11, 12), designed in such a way that individual strips (21, 22) of adjacent paving are separated from one another by undulating strip joints (23, 24). Each paving strip (21, 22) consists of a paving stone unit (10), which is configured to produce the contours of a paving strip (21, 22).
Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention relates to a construction kit made of concrete paving stones comprising substantially prismatic stone bodies of a uniform height and upright lateral surfaces. A plurality of stone paving stones (2) arranged in rows and having the same width in addition to the same or different lengths can be placed manually or placed by means of a machine with continuous or offset joints in said joint areas. A plurality of rows of paving stones that are arranged next to each other in a parallel position is used to form a rectangular or square packet that can be placed using a machine. The paving stones (2) have side surfaces (4) which have head pieces (2') that are defined by a wavy line along part of their height and base pieces (2'') in sections, comprising domed areas (5) or projections jutting out laterally in relation to the head pieces (2') extending along another part of their height. When the packets are assembled for placement in the vicinity of the end stones that make up a row of paving stones, they form a line of continuous joints or provide substantially winding-shaped joints (7) if so desired by replacing different sized end stones from adjacent packets that have been moved towards each other.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a floor covering element (2) with a square base form. An indentation (8.1, 8.2, 8.3, 8.4) is provided on all four base sides, each indentation being symmetrical in relation to a middle axis of symmetry (12). Opposite indentations are mirror images of each other. Each indentation is complementary to the indentations on the two base sides that are joined by a corner. A projection (24) is provided in each of the four corner areas of the floor covering element, this projection being essentially in the shape of a right-angled isosceles triangle or a surface element similar to such a triangle with bent sides. The removal of the four projections (24) results in a floor covering element of a second type (42) which can be laid together with other floor covering elements of the second type (42) or together with floor covering elements of the first type (2).
