    Abstract: A solid catalyst component for the polymerization of olefins made from or containing Mg, Ti and an electron donor of formula (I) where the R1 and R5 groups, equal to or different from each other, are selected from C1-C15 hydrocarbon groups, R2 group is selected from C2-C10 hydrocarbon groups, R3 to R4 groups, independently, are selected from hydrogen or C1-C20 hydrocarbon groups, optionally fused together to form one or more cycles, with the proviso that at least one of R3 to R4 groups is a C1-C20 alkyl group.

    Abstract: A skin-core fiber having a skin of a propylene ethylene copolymer having: i) xylene soluble fraction from 14 wt % to 27 wt %; ii) intrinsic viscosity of the fraction soluble in xylene at 25° C. from 1.0 to 2.4 dl/g; iii) melt flow rate, MFR, from 12 g/10 min to 60 g/10 min; iv) an ethylene derived units content from 5.0 wt % to 12.0 wt %; v) the ethylene derived units content of the fraction insoluble in xylene from 2.5 wt % to 6.0 wt %; vi) the ethylene derived units content of the fraction soluble in xylene ranging from 15.2. wt % to 30.2 wt %; vii) C13 NMR sequences PEP on the fraction insoluble in xylene from 3.5 mol % to 5.5 mol %; and viii) C13 NMR sequences PEP on the fraction soluble in xylene from 11.0 mol % to 14.2 mol %; and a core of a polyethylene having a density between 0.940 g/cm3 to 0.975 g/cm3.

    Abstract: A process for the preparation of a propylene polymer containing a coloring agent, including the steps of:
    (i) forming a solid mixture (a-b)of (a) a ZN catalyst component made from or containing Mg, Ti, halogen and an internal electron donor compound, and (b) a coloring agent made from or containing at least a pigment; wherein the mixture being in a weight ratio (b):(a) ranging from 0.01:1 to 0.4:1; and
    (ii) feeding the mixture (a-b) to a polymerization reactor and operating the reactor under polymerization conditions to produce the propylene polymer.

    Abstract: A polypropylene composition made from or containing (i) component (1) made from or containing a propylene/ethylene copolymer containing 2 to 4% by weight of an ethylene-derived unit, based upon the total weight of the propylene/ethylene copolymer; and (ii) component (2) made from or containing an ethylene/propylene copolymer containing 65 to 87% by weight of an ethylene-derived unit, based upon the total weight of the ethylene/propylene copolymer; wherein the polypropylene composition has 1) a weight ratio of component (1) to component (2) in the range of 65:35 to 77:23, 2) an intrinsic viscosity of xylene solubles (XSIV) in the range of 0.8 to 1.4 dl/g, 3) a MFR (at 230° C. under a load of 2.16 kg) in the range of 15 to 40 g/10 min., and 4) the absence of a crystal nucleating agent.

    Abstract: A polypropylene composition made from or containing a polymer made from or containing: (i) component (1) made from or containing a propylene homopolymer having MFR of 100 to 300 (at a temperature of 230° C. under a load of 2.16 kg) and containing more than 97.5% by weight of xylene insolubles (XI), wherein XI has a Mw/Mn of 4 to 10; (ii) component (2) made from or containing an ethylene/propylene copolymer containing 15 to 50% by weight of an ethylene-derived unit; wherein 1) relative proportions of component (1) and component (2) are, respectively, not less than 50 parts by weight but less than 70 pbw and more than 30 pbw but not more than 50 pbw, 2) intrinsic viscosity of xylene solubles (XSIV) of the polymer is in the range of 1.5 to 4.0 dl/g, 3) MFR of the polymer is in the range of 20 to 100 g/10 min.
