Abstract: The digital signal tone generator utilizes PCM data stored on a ROM and programs of digital signal processor. The signal generator includes an interrupt signal generator (5) for generating interrupt signal using input frame synchronous signal, a signal processor (1) for controlling switching frequency, a control buffer (9) connected to the signal processor (1), a DSP output controller (8) for controlling output of the DSP, a memory (2) connected to the address buffer (10), the control buffer (10), and the data buffer (3) to store signal tones in the form of PCM data, a time slot controller (7) for assigning PCM data to corresponding time slots by inputting frame synchronous signal, and an output port unit (6) for designating output ports.
