Abstract:
A method and apparatus for performing access control for wireless local area network (WLAN) interworking in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) receives access class barring information for a traffic steered from a WLAN to 3rd generation partnership project (3GPP) long-term evolution (LTE) from a network, and performs access barring check for the traffic steered from the WLAN to the 3GPP LTE using the received access class barring information. If a cell is not barred according to the access barring check, the UE transmits a radio resource control (RRC) connection request message to the network.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for receiving information for TV broadcast in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) receives first control information on a first frequency, and receives second control information on a second frequency. The first frequency may be a 3rd generation partnership project (3GPP) long-term evolution (LTE) frequency, and the second frequency may be a TV broadcast frequency.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting barring information in a wireless communication system is provided. A lower layer of a user equipment, i.e. a radio resource control (RRC) layer of the UE, receives system information including barring information for a plurality of public land mobile networks (PLMNs) from an evolved NodeB (eNB), and forwards barring information for a specific PLMN, among the barring information for the plurality of PLMNs, to an upper layer of the UE, i.e. an application layer of the UE.
Abstract:
A method for controlling uplink transmissions on discontinuous reception (DRX) operation, by a wireless device, in a wireless communication system, the method comprising: configuring a channel quality indicator (CQI)-masking which indicates that at least one of a CQI, a precoding matrix index (PMI), a rank indicator (RI), or a precoding type indicator (PTI) is not to be reported on a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) when an onDurationTimer is not running; and determining, at a first subframe prior to a second subframe, whether or not the onDurationTimer is to be running at the second subframe, wherein the at least one of the CQI, the PMI, the RI, or the PTI is not to be reported on the PUCCH at the second subframe, if the onDurationTimer is determined, at the first subframe, to be not running at the second subframe.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for performing traffic steering in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) may be configured with a primary cell (PCell) and at least one secondary cell (SCell) by carrier aggregation. Or, the UE may be configured with a PCell of a master evolved NodeB (MeNB) and a primary SCell (PSCell) of a secondary eNB (SeNB) by dual connectivity. For one embodiment, the UE receives radio access network (RAN) assistance information on the PCell, and evaluates conditions for traffic steering only on the PCell based on the received RAN assistance information. For another embodiment, the UE receives RAN assistance information for each of a plurality of serving cells, and performs traffic steering between one serving cell, among the plurality of serving cells, and a wireless local area network (WLAN).
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for scheduling uplink (UL) transmission in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) receives a backoff parameter from a network, and determines whether or not to apply the received backoff parameter before transmitting a scheduling request (SR) to the network via a dedicated channel. Whether or not to apply the received backoff parameter is determined according to a prioritized access, and the prioritized access corresponds to one of emergency access, high priority access, control element/information in media access control (MAC), radio link control (RLC) or packet data convergence protocol (PDCP), data radio bearer (DRB) for voice/video service, signaling radio bearer (SRB) 0, SRB 1, SRB 2, multimedia telephony service (MMTEL)-voice, MMTEL-video, and voice over long-term evolution (VoLTE).
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for requesting a unicast bearer setup in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) receives a unicast request indication, which indicates that a target cell does not provide a multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) service in which the UE is interested to the UE, from a network. Upon receiving the unicast request indication, the UE transmits a unicast bearer setup request to the network.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for limiting resources for a device-to-device (D2D) operation in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) transmits D2D signals by using radio resources (D2D resources) which is equal to or less than configured maximum amount of allowed radio resources. The maximum amount of allowed radio resources may indicate a maximum number of resource units or a maximum number of transmissions of the D2D signals.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting an indication for a device-to-device (D2D) operation in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) transmits an indication which indicates that a radio resource connection (RRC) connection is established for a D2D relaying, and upon establishing the RRC connection, transmitting information related to the D2D relaying.
Abstract:
One embodiment of the present specification provides a method of attempting network access by user equipment (UE). The method comprises the steps of: acquiring, from an upper layer, information related to an application attempting network access when an application specific congestion control for data communication (ACDC) is configured; determining an ACDC category on the basis of the acquired information related to an application; and performing an ACDC test on the basis of the determined ACDC category, wherein a network access trial can be barred or allowed for each application according to the ACDC test.
