    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent an unnecessary spectral signal from being generated in a recording frequency band, and to satisfactorily record a signal in a recording medium, by specifying an inter-longitudinal mode beat frequency of a laser and a carrier frequency of an acousto-optical modulation element. CONSTITUTION:When a gas laser device 1 for oscillating a multi-mode laser is used as a laser source, and also, a data is recorded to a recording medium 4 by using an acousto-optical modulation element 2 for modulating a laser, when an inter-longitudinal mode beat frequency of the laser, a carrier frequency of the acousto-optical modulation element 2, and a recording frequency band are set to fLHz, fCHz, and 0-fHz, respectively, an inter-longitudinal mode beat frequency fL and a carrier frequency fC are selected so as to satisfy an expression of ¦m.fL-n.fC¦>=f (in this regard, m and n are integers). In such a way, an unnecessary spectral signal comes to be generated in only the outside of the recording frequency band, and satisfactory recording can be executed easily.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To copy high quality information recording media with high productivity by providing a large diameter part and a small diameter part to a shaft member entering a substrate opposite to a stamper, and providing a projecting part to part of the large diameter part. CONSTITUTION:In order to center the substrate 34 with respect to the stamper 33, the shaft member 22 inserted through the stamper 33 and the substrate 34, is provided and the shaft member 22 has the large diameter part 26 having a relatively larger diameter and the small diameter part 25 connected to the large diameter part 26 and having a relatively smaller diameter. Further, a projection 27 projected in a direction orthogonal to the shaft center of the shaft member 22 is formed in the vicinity of the boundary between the large diameter part 26 and the small diameter part 25, the small diameter part 25 is inserted through the stamper 23 and the large diameter part 26 are penetrated through the substrate 24 to apply alignment. While an end face 26a at the boundary of the large diameter part 26 with the small diameter 25 is contacted closed to the stamper 33, the end face 26a is opposed to the base and the projection 26 pushes the substrate 34 bonded because of the cured resin 12 to exfoliate the base 34 from the stamper 33.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To accurately record information onto two recording tracks while a beam spot interval is kept to a setting value by calculating the beam spot interval error from an pickup output and acting a feedback control loop controlling the deflection of one light beam in response to the error output. CONSTITUTION:An image pickup section 30 receiving the reflected return light from a recording master disk 20 picks up beam spots Sa, Sb of two light beams La, Lb for information recording radiated onto the disk 20. An operation processing section 33 calculates the interval error of the beam spots Sa, Sb on the recording master disk 20 from the image pickup output and a carrier frequency from a voltage controlled variable oscillator of an AOD drive section 34 is controlled in response to the error output to drive an AOD8. Thus, the feedback control loop controlling the deflection of the 2nd light beam Lb acts so as to keep the beam spot interval to a prescribed value and the information is recorded on the two recording tracks on the recording master disk 20 while the beam spot interval is kept to the setting value.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a disclike recording medium using relatively simple constitution by making a guide groove formed on the disclike recording medium read frequency of a specified signal and making it to belong to frequency band higher than servo control frequency band formed at the time of scanning by a light beam. CONSTITUTION:The depth (t) and the width (w) of a spiral guide groove 13 formed on the surface of a base body 14' are made to fixed values and opposite edge part moves parallel back and forth in the direction of width of the groove at minute amplitude and forms repetition of concavities and convexities. The period of repetition is made to correspond to the period of a specified clock signal and made to belong to frequency band higher than servo control frequency band in tracking servo control system formed at the time when the guide groove is scanned by a reading beam at the time of recording or reproducing. Accordingly, a clock signal of frequency belonging to frequency band higher than servo control frequency band in a tracking servo control system is written in the guide groove 13 in form of repetition of concavities and convexities at maximum amplitude Q' of opposite edge part. Thus, the disclike recording medium having a spiral guide groove in which a specified signal is written can be obtained.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To attain reproduction of an information signal having a satisfactory S/N by forming a pre-group having the specific phase depth at the side of a beam incident plane of a metallic layer which can be recorded and reproduced optically and an address pit having the specific phase depth to a photoresist layer. CONSTITUTION:A photoresist layer 6 is coated on a glass substrate 5 with lambda/4n thickness. For an address pit AP', two beams are used to cut the layer 6 up to the surface of the substrate 5 with exposure and development. While a pre-group PG' is formed down to lambda/8n phase depth by means of a beam having smaller light quantity than the beam used for the AP'. A pre-group PG is formed on a land part LD of a metallic layer 3 with 2mum pich. The space between the group PG and an address pit AP is set at 1mum with 0.5mum width respectively. The information signal is recorded at the center of the part LD.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To attain the recording with high density by recording bit trains of >=2 series in parallel to each other and in a synchronous state within a globe set on a magnetic disk and detecting a diffraction pattern of the return light which tracking the bit trains with light spots. CONSTITUTION:Pits H1 and H2 of two series forming a paired tracks are recorded to a light spot S. The light delivered from a laser light source 10 forms the spot S on the pits H1 and H2 through a polarized beam splitter PBS11, a collimator lens 12, a lambda/4 plate 1 and an objective lens 14. The return light of the spot S travels back and is reflected by the PB11 to be made incident to a 2-split photodetector 15. Then the information recorded on the paired tracks is reproduced through detection levels A' and B'. Thus the recording is possible with high density.

CONSTITUTION:The laser light LO is supplied to an acoustic-optical modulator 11 from a laser light source 12. A digital multi-value signal SI is supplied to an amplitude modulator 14 through a terminal 13. At the same time, a high frequency signal is supplied to the modulator 14 as a carrier SC from a high frequency oscillator 15. The modulator 14 produces a signal SI' which is smoothed and modulated by an information signal SI. This signal SI' is supplied to the modulator 11 as a modulated signal via an amplitude modulator 16. The modulator 16 applies further modulation of amplitude to the signal SI' on the basis of a comparison error signal SCa obtained from a comparator 21. Therefore the primary diffracted light D1 delivered from the modulator 11 is set at a prescribed level with control of the light intensity.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable to reproduce the disc with a constant line speed, by frequency- dividing playback PCM signal with a given ratio, performing phase comparison for the frequency dividing signal with the signal in reference frequency, and controlling the revolution of disc with compared output. CONSTITUTION:The playback PCM signal from a head 10 is fed to a decoder through a wave shape rectifying circuit 20. On the other hand, the playback PCM signal through the circuit 20 is frequency-divided into 1/M at the frequency divider 30. For example, M=256 is made. Further, the frequency dividing signal is fed to one input of the phase comparator 40. Further, the output signal of a crystal oscillator 50 is frequency-divided at the frequency divider 60 to obtain the signal in reference frequency f0, and this is fed to another input of the phase comparator 40. Further, the output of the phase comparator 40 is given to a motor to control the revolution. Accordingly, the revolution of a disc can be controlled so that the frequency f of the frequency dividing signal from the frequency divider 30 is equal to the reference frequency f0.
