Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for selecting and combining items in an outbound container through the use of autonomous vehicles, each of which includes means for automatically loading and unloading a payload, to perform both transfer and transport functions in moving containers of items within a workspace via a network of roadways. Under computer control, said autonomous vehicles transfer and transport case containers of item units between incoming receiving stations, intermediate storage locations, and outgoing order-assembly stations where entire containers or individual item units are combined in the outbound container.
Abstract:
Various embodiments include a carrier puck for a conveyer system, the carrier puck comprising a circular lower body, and an upper body attached to the circular lower body, and where the puck further comprises a slide ring arranged in a ring groove positioned above a lower contact surface of the lower body.
Abstract:
A carrier for receiving and restraining a container against rotation during an automated filling and capping operation includes an array of modular container housings. A bumper is disposed below the housing and projects outwardly to cushion the carrier against impact. The bumper is supported by a base. Structure extends from the housing through the bumper and into the base to secure the carrier. One housing module includes a recess having container abutment surfaces and angled surfaces at the opening to guide a container into engagement with the abutments. One housing module includes a recess having ribs separated by relief vents to relieve air pressure as a container is loaded into the carrier. One housing module includes a container holder having a pair of upright supports separated by side openings. The bumper and the base each including a weight positioned at a selected location to uphold the filled container.
Abstract:
The invention primarily is directed to an orienting holder for a container that is being filled with a product on a container filling line. The container holder (10) has at least two rollers (18) and a base portion (12). The rollers are made of an elastic material which can be an elastomer inclusive of polymeric foams. The rollers are on arms (15, 16) that project above the base portion and usually will contact the container (30) at an upper part of the container. The arms which support the rollers can pivot. The elastic material of the rollers provide for a positive gripping of the container on the filling line, including a positive grip onto containers which may be partially out of the specified tolerances. The compressibility of the elastic material of the rollers can be enhanced through forming channels (27) in the roller structure.
Abstract:
The present invention features, in part, a moving cart system that comprises a moving cart main line which is disposed along process portions and on which a moving cart is transpired along a positive length direction of the moving cart main line, a moving cart return line which is disposed parallel with the moving cart main line and on which the moving cart is transpired along a negative length direction of the moving cart return line, traverses which are disposed for connecting a front and a rear of the moving cart main line and the moving cart return line, and a plurality of storages which are disposed perpendicular to the moving cart return line in predetermined intervals along a length direction of the moving cart return line for storing the moving cart, wherein the moving cart moves along the plurality of storages.
Abstract:
Pallet (1) for a conveyer system, comprising a body (2), a first guide disc (3) and a second guide disc (4) attached to the body (2), where a first slide plate (9) is mounted to the first guide disc (3) and a second slide plate (10) is mounted to the second guide disc (4), characterized in that the slide plates (9, 10) are mounted to the guide discs (3, 4) with a snap locking by means of a plurality of protrusions (11, 12, 13). The advantage of the invention is that a pallet can easily be adapted for a different use in a conveyor system.
Abstract:
A tray handling apparatus comprises a plurality of guides, a chuck device, a linear movement device, and a rack and pinion device. A space defined by the erected guides is used to hold a tray stack. The chuck of the chuck device is located at the center position of the bottom area of the space. The linear movement device is used to move the chuck relative to the guides. The rack and pinion device is used to cause the guides to move symmetrically. When an operator moves any one of the guides, the other guides move symmetrically and the center of the bottom area of the space surrounded by the guides remains at the same location during the movement of the guides. The operator does not need to adjust the position of the chuck if the positions of the guides are changed.
Abstract:
A carrier for transporting at least one container along a conveying path, has a base that can be placed on a conveyor surface of the conveying path, and at least one retaining plate for retaining the container at least during transport. The container has a lower region and a head region on the top, and the retaining plate is configured and disposed in the carrier for engaging at the head region of the suspended container. The container is inserted into the carrier such that it is supported at the head region of the carrier and is retained during transport in a suspended manner.
Abstract:
A method for sorting and/or orienting caps using an automated capping line can comprise providing a single cap to a cap-receiving cavity defined in a body of a puck. In various embodiments, the body can be vibrated to settle and/or orient the cap to a properly oriented position within the cap-receiving cavity. In at least one embodiment, the vibrating can include applying horizontal vibration and/or vertical vibration to the body. As a result, the properly oriented caps can be conveyed to a capping machine configured to apply each cap to a cap-receiving portion of a container.
Abstract:
A conveyor includes a plate with a closed-loop track along which vials are driven in a continuous manner in holders arranged so as to be in free contact with each other in order to form a continuous stream along the track. Each holder includes a horizontal platen (72) to which is connected a plurality of vertical blades (72) forming a ring and capable of elastically moving away from the rotational axis of the platen, the inner surfaces thereof being intended for bearing against the periphery of a vial.
