Abstract:
Polymeric composites and methods of manufacturing polymeric composites are described. In one embodiment, a set of microcapsules containing a phase change material are mixed with a dispersing polymeric material to form a first blend. The dispersing polymeric material has a latent heat of at least 40 J/g and a transition temperature in the range of 0°C to 50°C. The first blend is processed to form a polymeric composite. The polymeric composite can be formed in a variety of shapes, such as pellets, fibers, flakes, sheets, films, rods, and so forth. The polymeric composite can be used as is or incorporated in various articles where a thermal regulating property is desired.

Disclosed is a thermoplastic resin composition having high impact resistance properties and high fluidity which is improved in appearance defects such as pearl luster and occurrence of jetting. Such a thermoplastic resin composition contains a resin mixture (A) composed of 45-97% by mass of a polycarbonate resin (a-1) and 55-3% by mass of a fatty acid polyester (a-2), and 0.5-20 parts by mass of a rubber-like elastic body (B) per 100 parts by mass of the resin mixture (A). The component (B) is dispersed in the interface between the component (a-1) and the component (a-2) or the domain of the component (a-2).

PURPOSE: Provided are an aromatic liquid crystal polyester film which is excellent in the adhesion to a supporter, and its preparation method. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of casting an aromatic liquid crystal polyester solution comprising a solvent containing a halogen-substituted phenol represented by the formula 1, 100 parts by weight of an aromatic liquid crystal polyester film and 1-200 parts by weight of a non-liquid crystal resin, on a supporter; and removing the solvent, wherein A is a halogen atom or a trihalomethyl group; i is an integer of 1-5; and if i is 2 or more, As can be identical or different one another. Preferably the non-liquid crystal resin is at least one selected from the group consisting of polyarylate, polyether imide, polycarbonate, polyphenylene ether, polysulfone, polyethylene terephthalate, polybutylene terephthalate, poly(1,4-cyclohexylenedimethylene) terephthalate and polyethylene 2,6-naphthalate.
Abstract:
Provided are a curable resin composition which contains a specific vinyl compound obtained by vinylation two-functional phenylene ether oligomer having polyphenylene ether structure in a molecule, and a specific bismaleimide having at least two maleimide groups in a molecule, a curable film including the composition a cured product obtained by curing the composition, and a film obtained by curing the curable film. Provided is the resin composition which has excellent curable properties under existence of oxygen, can be cured at low temperature, and has low dielectric constant, low dielectric loss tangent, high mechanical properties, excellent chemical resistance and excellent flame ratardency.
