Abstract: The present invention provides a soil erosion prevention agent which is excellent in the freeze-thaw stability while maintaining the soil erosion prevention effect. When a toluene-insoluble matter of the water-borne resin emulsion is 60 mass % or more and a content of the water-soluble polymer in the soil erosion prevention agent is 1 to 7 mass %, preferably 3 to 5 mass %, the soil erosion prevention agent excellent in the freeze-thaw stability is provided and suitable for greening and a spraying material. The water-borne resin emulsion is preferably a resin containing a structural unit derived from vinyl acetate, or an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer emulsion.

Abstract: Sulfur copolymers having high sulfur content for use as raw materials in 3D printing. The sulfur copolymers are prepared by melting and copolymerizing one or more comonomers with cyclic selenium sulfide, elemental sulfur, elemental selenium, or a combination thereof. Optical substrates, such as films and lenses, are constructed from the sulfur copolymer via 3D printing and are substantially transparent in the visible and infrared spectrum. The optical substrates can have refractive indices of about 1.75-2.6 at a wavelength in a range of about 500 nm to about 8 μm.

Abstract: Provided is a latex composition for dip forming which includes 100 parts by weight of a nitrile-based hybrid latex including a first latex and a second latex which have different glass transition temperatures, and 2 parts by weight to 8 parts by weight of an ion-conductive polymer having a weight-average molecular weight of 400 to 1,000. The latex composition for dip forming has excellent low-temperature stability and a dip-formed article prepared using the composition has excellent tensile strength and elongation. Since wearing comfort is improved due to a decrease in modulus, the dip-formed article may be suitable for industries requiring such properties.

Abstract: Nanoemulsions are prepared by: a) solubilizing a silicone resin in an organic solvent system to yield a silicone resin solution concentration of about 80% or less, wherein the organic solvent system comprises a single solvent selected from the group consisting of monoalcohols, polyalcohols, ethers of monoalcohols, ethers of polyalcohols, fatty esters, Guerbet alcohols, isoparaffins, naphthols, glycol ethers, provided that the solvent is not diethyleneglycol monobutyl ether; b) mixing the silicone resin solution with an aminosiloxane polymer to obtain an aminosiloxane polymer:silicone resin mixture having ratio of about 20:1; c) allowing the resin mixture to age for at least about 6 hours at ambient temperature; d) adding the resin mixture to a vessel; e) optionally adding with agitation, an additional organic solvent to the resin mixture; f) mixing until homogenous; g) adding a protonating agent; h) additionally adding an aqueous carrier in an amount to produce the desired concentration of emulsion.
