Abstract:
A nanoparticle composition includes a metal nanoparticle, and a continuous dielectric coating on a surface of the metal nanoparticle, the nanoparticle composition being a dielectric material. A nanoparticle is in addition the reaction product of an organometallic compound. An electrorheological fluid comprises the nanoparticle composition and a dielectric fluid, and a method of making an electrorheological fluid is also disclosed.
Abstract:
A thermally conductive grease includes a carrier oil, at least one dispersant, and thermally conductive particles. The thermally conductive particles have a D50 (Vol. Average) particle size of no greater than about 11 microns and the thermally conductive particles in the thermally conductive grease contain less than 3% by volume of particles having a particle size of 0.7 microns or less, based on the total volume of thermally conductive particles in the thermally conductive grease.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a lubricating oil composition for reducing a friction coefficient adjacent to the surface of being subjected to lubrication. In particular, the present invention provides nanoporous particles capable of being dispersed in a lubricating oil composition comprising base oil having a lubricant viscosity. Since the nanoporous particles having nano-sized, oil soluble pores according to the present invention reduces a friction coefficient, and in the long term, gradually releases an effective ingredient, the lubricating oil composition comprising the same of the present invention can act as a reducing agent for reducing friction for a long period of time, and thereby, exhibit excellent lubricant effects.

Abstract:
An interface suspension is disclosed for facilitating the laser welding of a first metal having a first zinc coating and a second metal having a second zinc coating. The interface suspension includes a petrolatum base. The interface suspension also includes a plurality of metal spherules suspended in the petrolatum base. The interface suspension melts when the laser welding occurs and allows the plurality of metal spherules to absorb vapors released by the first and second zinc coatings when the first and second zinc coatings boil.
Abstract:
An indicating lubricant additive comprising a color-changable polymer having an outer layer of a first color, and an intermediate layer of a second color; and a lubricant sensing dipstick comprising a circuit housing, an elongated body having a proximal end and a distal end, and lubricant sensing means disposed at said distal end, wherein in one embodiment, the sensing means detects a change in the indicating lubricant additive that is present in a lubricant.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to dispersion compositions comprising synthetic oils or other heat transfer fluids and fine particles. The compositions also comprise at least one dispersant. The dispersion compositions have improved thermal conductivity properties, which may translate to improved energy efficiency performance in a variety of heat transfer applications. Such applications include vapor compression air conditioning and refrigeration systems of all types, secondary heat transfer fluids, and other heating or cooling fluid applications.
