Abstract:
A sleeping bag is provided with a partially detached flexible inflatable cover. The cover when inflated defines a tent with the bag disposed therein.
Abstract:
What is described is a cleanroom arrangement with a housing that separates from the surroundings a space which immediately or indirectly adjoins a floor region, with a mobile filter-ventilator unit which has an air inlet region and an air outlet region and is arranged in the surroundings outside the space, and with a supply line connecting the air outlet region and the space bounded by the housing. The invention is characterized in that the housing is a tent-like shell wall arrangement which encloses the space in a dome-like and uninterrupted fashion and which comprises a flexible, folding shell wall that directly faces the space and is made exclusively of at least one cleanroom-compatible material and comprises at least one support element that rests on the floor region and/or at least one hanging arrangement provided on the shell wall; in that the at least one cleanroom-compatible material is suitable for directly bounding a cleanroom of ISO classes 1 to 9 according to DIN ISO/FDIS 14644-1:2015-08; in that the shell wall is spaced apart from the floor region at least in certain sections, or provides, indirectly or directly adjoining the floor region, at least one opening in the shell wall or at least one shell wall section with a higher air permeability than in the rest of the shell wall, for the controlled outflow of air from the space region into the surroundings; and in that the mobile filter-ventilator unit is designed to provide, from ambient air, ultrapure air in accordance with the above standard, and the supply line is produced as a hollow duct made of cleanroom-compatible material in accordance with the above standard, which discharges into the space at an upper shell wall region so as to establish, within the space, a vertical, downward-oriented flow of pure air which exits the space in a controlled manner close to the floor region.
Abstract:
A portable shelter that is convertible between a collapsed transport configuration and an expanded operational configuration. The shelter includes a container having a wing wall that is selectively pivotal between a closed position and an open position, and an inflatable tent having a flexible inflatable support structure and a flexible cover. When the wing wall is in the open position, the inflatable support structure is selectively inflatable from a collapsed configuration to an operational configuration to thereby support the cover in an expanded operational configuration above the wing wall, such that the cover forms a sheltered space. The inflatable support structure is selectively deflatable from the operational configuration to the collapsed configuration, whereupon the first wing wall may be pivoted to the closed position to store the tent within an internal space of the container, such that the shelter is in the transport configuration.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the invention comprise woven multilayer textiles having shaped, enclosed, inflatable pockets, where the inflated textile carries tension, compression, torsion and/or bending loads. Composite structures incorporating such inflatable members or spars are also described and claimed.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of producing a bowl-shaped structure 1, comprising providing a plurality of torus-shaped structural elements 2 which can be filled with a filling medium and each of which extends around a torus axis and define a torus face which is directed transversely to said torus axis, placing the structural elements 2 against one another in such a manner that the respective torus faces of adjacent structural elements 2 are substantially in line with each other or are at a slight angle (a) to one another, connecting the structural elements 2 which have been placed against one another, filling the structural elements 2 with a filling medium in order to form a bowl-shaped structure, for example a dome or tunnel 30, 40. The invention also relates to a structural element 2 for producing a structure according to this method. The invention furthermore relates to a structure which is produced according to the above method using the above mentioned structural elements 2.
