    Abstract: A method of disarming and reconstructing an encoded video stream to nullify malicious agents potentially embedded in the encoded video stream comprising decoding a received encoded video stream to obtain a decoded video stream, extracting, from the encoded video stream, encoding information calculated by an originating encoder to create the encoded video stream, adjusting the encoding information by replacing one or more quantization parameters defined in the encoding information with respective adjusted quantization parameter(s) calculated based on a random selection of a value from a range of quantization parameter values, encoding the decoded video stream using the adjusted encoding information to produce a modified encoded video stream and transmitting the modified encoded video stream.

    Abstract: A method is directed to transmitting signals between neurons of a hardware-implemented, spiking neural network (or SNN). The network includes neuronal connections, each including a synaptic unit connecting a pre-synaptic neuron to a post-synaptic neuron. Spikes received from the pre-synaptic neuron of said each neuronal connection are first modulated, in frequency, based on a synaptic weight stored on said each synaptic unit, to generate post-synaptic spikes, such that a first number of spikes received from the pre-synaptic neuron are translated into a second number of post-synaptic spikes. At least some of the spikes received from the pre-synaptic neuron may, each, be translated into a train of two or more post-synaptic spikes. The post-synaptic spikes generated are subsequently transmitted to the post-synaptic neuron of said each neuronal connection. The method makes it possible to obtain a higher dynamic range in the synapse output.

    Abstract: Mechanisms are provided for training a computer implemented model. The mechanisms perform multiple instances of training of the computer implemented model, wherein each instance of training of the computer implemented model comprises training the computer implemented model using a different training data set to generate a different instance of a trained computer implemented model. The mechanisms generate computer implemented model results after each instance of training by executing the corresponding instance of the trained computer implemented model. The mechanisms record differences in the instances of training of the computer implemented model in association with corresponding identifiers of the instances of trained computer implemented model and corresponding computer implemented model results. The mechanisms analyze the recorded differences and the corresponding computer implemented model results, and generate an output indicating a correlation between recorded differences and corresponding computer implemented model results.

    Abstract: A computer implemented method includes obtaining by an input/output (IO) subsystem a request block that includes a command code indicating a STORE IOP-UTILIZATION DATA command for tracking resource utilization during an asynchronous execution of an instance of a CPU DELFATE command; based on the command code, initiating a command response block that includes multiple entries for input/output processor (IOP) utilization, each entry corresponding to resource utilization measurements of each IOP in the I/O subsystem; and storing, in a command response code field of the command response block, a response code indicating that the resource utilization measurements have been recorded in the entries for IOP utilization, the response block having a length code indicating a length of the response block and the response code field.
