Abstract:
A beaming apparatus that includes a creel and warper head, the creel being positioned adjacent to the warper head, the creel having elastomeric yarn unwinder assemblies which include a guide support that supports rotating guides and stationary wound cakes of elastomeric yarn, a thread guide for orienting the unwound yarn towards the warper head, a front guide and tension bar positioned near the end of the creel, and a pivoting reed positioned before the warper head for orienting the yarn onto a beam are provided.
Abstract:
A method of manufacture of a rapid dyeing, deep dyeing, open structure polyamide yarn and to the yarn and to a fabric produced from the yarn includes the step of applying an aqueous finish to substantially all of the rapid dyeing, deep dyeing, open structure polyamide filaments. The aqueous finish consists essentially of a fluorosurfactant dissolved in water that is applied to bulked continuous filament yarn at an effective concentration level of preferably 150 to 600 parts per million by weight of flourine on yarn. The aqueous fluorosurfactant finish is applied at a point after texturizing and before windup.
Abstract:
The invention provides a stitchbonded nonwoven fabric comprising a nonwoven web, stitches of a first yarn, and stitches of a second yarn wherein the first yarn comprises polyester bicomponent fibers exhibiting latent crimp and comprising poly(ethylene terephthalate) and poly(trimethylene terephthalate). The invention further provides a process for making such stitchbonded nonwoven fabric.
Abstract:
Stable aqueous poly(urea/urethane) polymers and dispersions are made that do not require the inclusion of chain extenders, curing agents or crosslinking agents.
Abstract:
A stitched yarn surface structure includes a backing having decorative upper surface and a thickness dimension T of at least two (2) millimeters. The backing exhibits a predetermined compressive resistance Rb. Plural rows of face yarn segments cover at least a portion of the decorative upper surface of the backing, with adjacent face yarn segments being spaced apart by a predetermined minimum spacing dimension S. The yarns forming the face yarn segments have a predetermined compressive resistance Ry. The compressive resistance Rb, the compressive resistance Ry, and the spacing S are selected such that a load of up to one hundred (100) pounds per square inch (psi) imposed on the stitched yarn surface structure by a loading member is able to be borne by the stitched yarn surface structure without allowing contact between the member and the decorative upper surface of the backing.
Abstract:
The invention provides a spun yarn comprising polyester bicomponent staple fiber and acrylic staple fiber. The invention further provides a method for making spun yarns and fabrics. The spun yarn of the invention comprises at least 30 weight percent acrylic staple fiber and from 17 to 45 weight percent polyester bicomponent staple fiber comprising poly(ethylene terephthalate) and poly(trimethylene terephthalate), based on the total weight of the yarn.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a process for the production of a mixture of cyclohexanone and cyclohexanol by oxidation of cyclohexane and decomposition of cyclohexyl hydroperoxide.
