A method includes coating a substrate to provide a flame resistant substrate. In an embodiment, the method includes preparing an aqueous solution. The aqueous solution comprises a phosphate material, a cationic material, and a water. The method further includes exposing the substrate to the aqueous solution to produce a coating on the substrate. The coating includes the cationic material and the phosphate material. The method also includes exposing the coating on the substrate to a melamine solution.

The present invention provides a product and a manufacturing process for an aqueous dispersible dendritic polymer with various functionalities, and polymer compositions and polymer formulations comprising such a dendritic polymer. The aqueous dispersible dendritic polymer composition comprises a hydrophilic functional group to allow dispersion in aqueous solvents and improve washability of the polymer, a low surface tension functional group to impart resistance to dirt pick-up and optionally, a curable functional group to allow superior cross-linking capabilities and optionally, a softening functional group to impart flexibility to the composition.

The present invention relates to a curable antistatic primer composition, comprising: (d) at least one polyalkylene oxide polymer; (e) at least a Lithium salt; (f) at least an amorphizer selected from at least a dendritic polymer. The present invention also relates to an optical article having at least one surface comprising an antistatic primer coating obtained by depositing on a substrate and curing said composition, and its production method.

A method of hard surface treatment and liquid compositions comprising a polymeric material with a very degree of branching in a liquid carrier are described. A polymeric material obtained by polymerising a monomer having at least one terminal -NR 1 R 2 group, at least one terminal carboxylic acid derivative capable of reacting with the -NR 1 R 2 group and at least one further group selected from terminal NR 1 R 2 groups and terminal carboxylic acid derivatives, wherein R 1 and R 2 my be the same on different and are such that the -NR 1 R 2 group is capable of reacting with the carboxylic acid derivative.
