Abstract:
The invention relates to a thread compound, containing graphite, grease and usual additives, to a process for the preparation thereof and to the use of said compound. The thread compound according to the invention contains 20-50%, by weight, of powdered graphite, 10-25%, by weight, of powdered talc, and balance to 100%, by weight, of grease and the usual additives. The thread compounds according to the invention do not contain lead or lead compounds, but still have the above-mentioned desired properties. Preferred thread compounds of the invention comprise 28-35%, by weight, of the powdered graphite, 14-17.5%, by weight, of the powdered talc, and balance to 100%, by weight, of the grease and the usual additives. Surprisingly good results may be obtained when in the thread compound the amount of talc is about 50%, by weight, of the amount of the graphite.
Abstract:
A refrigerating-machine oil composition which is satisfactory in both of sludge-dispersing properties and the prevention of wear and seizing on sliding parts made of aluminum and/or iron of a compressor for refrigerating machines. The refrigerating-machine oil composition is characterized by comprising a base oil which is at least one member selected among mineral oils and synthetic oils and, incorporated therein, at least one polyamide compound having two or more amide groups per molecule, the amount of the polyamide compound being 0.01-5 mass% based on the whole refrigerating-machine oil composition.
Abstract:
An aqueous lubricating coating agent to be used for solids comprising a branched carboxylic acid, which is represented by the general formula R1-CH(R2)COOH (wherein R1 and R 2 independently represent each a linear or branched alkyl group having from 4 to 12 carbon atoms) and has a flow point lower than 0 oC, and/or a salt thereof and a solid coating component, wherein the content of the branched carboxylic acid or its salt, each as a solid component, ranges from 0.1 to 50% by mass and the content of the solid coating component ranges from 3 to 99.9% by mass based on the total content of solid matters in the aqueous lubricating coating agent. Thus, it is possible to provide an aqueous lubricating coating agent to be used mainly for metallic materials which shows little foaming, can contain a large amount of a lubricating component, has a high liquid stability, and can form a coating having excellent lubricating properties. The solid coating component is selected from among aqueous inorganic salts, aqueous organic acid salts and water-base resins. The coating agent may further contain an auxiliary lubricating component, an auxiliary baking-tolerance component and so on.
Abstract:
A stainless steel wire is plated with nickel (Ni) to a thickness of from not less than 1 mu m to not more than 5 mu m. An inorganic salt coat film mainly composed of at least one of potassium sulfate and borax (borate) and free from fluorine (F) or chlorine (Cl) is then deposited on the nickel (Ni) plate 2 as the substrate. The steel wire is then drawn to a reduction of area of not less than 60% to adjust the surface roughness thereof to a range of from 0.80 to 12.5 mu mRz, preferably from 1.0 to 10.0 mu mRz.

Abstract:
A wire rod is payed out from a pay-off stand and descaled in a descaling process. After preheating to a predetermined temperature by a preheating device, it is subjected to a lubrication pretreatment through a zinc calcium phosphate solution applied with ultrasonic wave in the lubrication pretreatment process. After rinsing process, the lubrication-pretreated wire rod is coated with a calcium stearate or a sodium stearate in lubricating process. Thereafter, the wire rod is dried sufficiently in drying process, and then added with a predies lubricant in wire drawing process and coiled by a coiler.
