Abstract:
A thermally conductive silicone grease composition comprising at least the following components: an organopolysiloxane (A) represented by the following general formula : [wherein R 1 designates identical or different univalent hydrocarbon groups; X designates identical or different univalent hydrocarbon groups or alkoxysilyl-containing groups of the following general formula: -R 2 -SiR 1 a (OR 3 ) (3-a) (wherein R 1 designates the previously mentioned groups; R 2 designates oxygen atoms or alkylene groups; R 3 designates alkyl groups; and 'a' is an integer ranging from 0 to 2); and 'm' and 'n' are integers equal to or greater than 0, respectively]; a thermally conductive filler (B); and an organopolysiloxane (C) having silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms on both molecular terminals and in the molecular chains; is characterized by excellent resistance to heat and reduced oil bleeding.
Abstract:
Lubricant compositions as well as methods and articles utilizing the lubricant compositions that comprise a polyoxyalkene as a lubricating agent, between 4 wt.% and 7.5 wt.% of silica as a thickening agent and an inorganic thixotropic-enhancing metal compound added in an amount of, for example, at least 20 ppm, by weight or alternatively, between 1 ppm and 2 wt.%. The silica may be fumed silica. Examples of the metal compound include KOH, NaOH, KCl, CaCl 2 , MgCl 2 , CaO, MgO, Mg(OH) 2 or combinations thereof. A tire is also included, comprising a radially inner face designed to be opposite a wheel rim on which it is designed to be mounted, wherein the radially inner face is provided with the lubricant composition described above.
Abstract:
A grease composition which exhibits a long lifetime even when used in high-temperature atmosphere and excellently low evaporation and which is noncombustible, namely, a grease composition which comprises as the base oil an ionic fluid composed of a cation and an anion and having an ion concentration of 1 mol/dm 3 or above as determined at 20°C and which contains a thickening agent having a dropping point of 260°C or above.
Abstract:
A lubricating oil composition comprising base oil, glycerol monooleate and one or more nitrile compounds; and a method of lubricating an internal combustion engine comprising applying said lubricating oil composition thereto.
Abstract:
High-temperature inhibitor materials for use with electrical connections in energy transmission and distribution systems where operating temperatures exceed 150 C. The high-temperature inhibitor materials comprise base oils and conductive particles, wherein the high-temperature inhibitor is stable at temperatures above 150 C.
Abstract:
A lubricant for a run-flat tire system includes a water soluble, or water-miscible carrier, a thickener, and a surfactant. The thickener hereof retains its rheological properties and is not subject to permanent thinning shear. The base fluid is, preferably, a water-soluble polyhydroxyl or other polyhydric compound and the thickener is preferably a clay. When admixed with a surfactant and, optionally, a lubricity agent, the lubricant exhibits long term stability and (is resistant to heat buildup.) prevents the buildup of heat in the tire assembly when the tire is in the run flat condition.

The high-temperature inhibitor materials comprise base oils and conductive particles, wherein the high-temperature inhibitor is stable at temperatures above 150 ° C.
Abstract:
A greasy silicone composition which comprises: (A) a liquid organopolysiloxane comprising 80 to 96.5 mol% siloxane units represented by the formula R2SiO2/2, 1.0 to 10.0 mol% siloxane units represented by the formula RSiO3/2, and 0.25 to 10.0 mol% siloxane units represented by the formula R3SiO1/2 (in the formulae, R's are the same or different and each is a monovalent hydrocarbon group); and (B) a thickener. The composition can contain the thickener in a large amount and has excellent heat resistance.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a food-compatible high-temperature lubricant, in particular a high-temperature oil and a high-temperature grease, comprising the following components: a) at least one oil selected from a trimellitic acid ester or a mixture of various trimellitic acid esters, alkyl aromates, preferably an aliphatically substituted naphthalene or estolide; b) a hydrogenated or fully hydrogenated polyisobutylene or a mixture of hydrogenated or fully hydrogenated polyisobutylene and; c) additives, individually or in combination. In the case of the high-temperature grease, a thickening agent is added.
