Abstract: Digit validation check control for execution of an instruction. A process obtains an instruction to perform operation(s) using input value(s). The instruction includes a no validation indicator for controlling whether digit validation check control is enabled for execution of the instruction. The process executes the instruction, including determining, based on the no validation indicator, whether digit validation check control is enabled for execution of the instruction, and performing processing based on the determining. Based on the no validation indicator being set to a defined value, digit validation check control is enabled and the processing includes forcing a digit check error indicator output by the executing to indicate no digit check error with respect to the at least one input value.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for creating a secure software container may be provided. The method comprises providing a first layered software container image,transforming all files, except corresponding metadata, of each layer of the first layered software container image into a volume, the volume comprises a set of blocks, wherein each layer comprises an incremental difference to a next lower layer, encrypting each block of the set of blocks of a portion of the layers, and storing each encrypted set of the blocks as a layer of an encrypted container image along with unencrypted metadata for rebuilding an order of the set of blocks equal to an order of the first layered software container image, so that a secure encrypted software container is created.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method is presented for discovering new material candidates from a chemical database. The method includes extracting a feature vector from a chemical formula, learning a prediction model for predicting property values from the feature vector with a sparse kernel model employing the chemical database, selecting an existing material from a list of existing materials sorted in descending order based on the predicted property values by the prediction model learned in the learning step, selecting a basis material from a list of basis materials sorted in descending order of absolute reaction magnitudes to the selected existing material, and generating the new material candidates as variants of the selected existing material with consideration of the selected basis material.

The first precursor and the second precursor form a preliminary film on the substrate, and the second precursor includes silicon, carbon, and hydrogen. The method further includes exposing the preliminary film to energy from an energy source to form a porous dielectric film.

Abstract: A method can include learning a common embedding space and a set of parameters for each one of a plurality of sets of mixture models, wherein one mixture model is associated with one class of objects within a set of object categories. The method can also include adding new mixture models to the set of mixture models to support novel categories based on a set of example embedding vectors computed for each one of the novel categories. Additionally, the method includes detecting in images a plurality of boxes with associated labels and corresponding confidence scores, wherein the boxes correspond to image regions comprising objects of both known categories and the novel categories. Furthermore, the method includes, given a query image, executing an instruction based on the common embedding space and the set of mixture models, the instruction comprising identifying objects from both categories in the query image.

Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product to detect whether specific sensitive data of a client is present in a cloud computing infrastructure is implemented without requiring that data be shared with the cloud provider, or that the cloud provider provide the client access to all data in the cloud. Instead of requiring the client to share its database of sensitive information, preferably the client executes a tool that uses a cryptographic protocol, namely, Private Set Intersection (PSI), to enable the client to detect whether their sensitive information is present on the cloud. Any such information identified by the tool is then used to label a document or utterance, send an alert, and/or redact or tokenize the sensitive data.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to related methods, systems, and media containing instructions for detecting security risks related to a software component deployable in a container-based runtime environment. The method comprises receiving a trigger, the trigger indicating that a layer of a container within the container-based runtime environment is to be checked for security risks. A check layer of the container is identified that is to be checked for security risks. A determination is made that a check for security risks has not been previously performed for the check layer according to a check criterion, and responsive to this determination, a determination is made that a security analysis indicates a security risk. Responsive to this determination, a remedial action may be initiated.
