Abstract: A multilayer composite EMI/RFI filter for use in front of cathode ray tube visual displays is disclosed to be constructed of a plastic substrate (22) having an outer diffuse hard-coat (21) and a conductive transmissive layer comprising metal. Preferably the metal is presented as a sputter-deposited dielectric-metal-dielectric stack (31, 32, 33). The filter is especially useful to prevent interference from the cathode ray tube reaching sensitive navigational equipment or other sensitive receivers.
