Abstract:
To provide a stretch lining cloth having a weftwise stretchability of 8% or more without damaging slipperiness, a polyester-based continuous fiber or a cellulose-based continuous fiber having a twisting coefficient (K) of from 2000 to 15000 is employed as the warp yarn while a substantially non-twisted polyester-based continuous fiber or a cellulose-based continuous fiber is employed as the weft yarn, the individual monofilaments of the continuous fiber employed as the warp yarn are bundled together to give a round-shaped cross section of the warp yarn, and the bending hardness of the weft yarn is elevated compared with the warp yarn so that a crimping rate can be easily imparted to the weft yarn of the cloth. Owing to the above-described characteristics, the lining cloth thus obtained is comfortable with showing little stitch slippage or reduced feeling of tightness in wearing.
Abstract:
A woven or knitted fabric, formed from two types of yarns different in self-elongating property upon absorbing water and capable of facilitating the air-permeability when wetted with water, is constituted so that a ratio A/B of a mean length A of yarns (1) having a high water-absorbing, self-elongating property to a mean length B of yarns (2) arranged in the same direction as that of the yarn (1) and having a lower water-absorbing, self-elongating property than that of the yarn (1) is adjusted to 0.9 or less.
Abstract:
Abstract:
To provide a stretch lining cloth having an elongation of 8% or more in the weft-wise direction without losing slipperiness, a polyester filament or a cellulose filament having a twist multiplier (K) of 2000 to 15000 is used for a warp yam and a substantially non-twisted polyester filament or cellulose filament is used for a weft yarn, and filaments used for the warp yam are bound together, thereby making the cross-sectional shape of the warp yam circular and the bending rigidity of the warp yam is increased relative to that of the weft yarn, providing a higher crimp ratio of the weft yam for a woven fabric. These characteristics allow the lining cloth thus obtained to have reduced seam slippage and tightness in wearing and the lining cloth is thus excellent in wearing comfort.
Abstract:
Comprising said fabric or non-woven fabric (3) a first threads or fibres (1) arranged in the direction of the weft and in that of the warp, including, either in the direction of the weft or in that of the warp or both, a second threads or fibres (2), the melting point of which is below that of the melting point of the first threads which is characterised in that it comprises a first phase of stabilization of the fabric (3) and a second phase of heat pre-shaping of the referred fabric resulting from the first phase, blocking the elasticity of the resulting fabric or non-woven fabric taking into account of the higher or lower density of the first threads (1) and of the higher or lower quantity of second threads (2) that are melted.
Abstract:
Flat multifilament-yarn textile having excellent characteristics of low air permeability, show-through prevention capability and/or water/sweat-absorbing capability is textile including multifilament yarns each of which is formed of plural artificial filaments as the warp and weft and has a flat cross-sectional shape. On both sides of the longitudinal centerline in the flat cross section, at least more than three swollen portions per one side, outwardly swollen from the longitudinal centerline, and more than two constricted portions per one side, formed between the swollen portions, are formed substantially symmetrical with respect to the longitudinal centerline. A cross-sectional flatness expressed by a ratio (B/C1) of a length (B) in the longitudinal centerline to a maximum width (C1) in the direction perpendicular to the centerline direction is within a range from 2 to 6 and has a cover factor of 800 to 3,500 as the textile as a whole.
Abstract:
A spun yarn characterized by comprising at least 15 wt.% short fibers of polytrimethylene terephthalate and satisfying the relationship: modulus at 5% elongation (%) ≥ 0.1X + 70 wherein X represents the content (wt.%) of the short polytrimethylene terephthalate fibers in the spun yarn. It is excellent in suitability for knitting/weaving, stretchability, and recovery from stretch and has shape stability and durability in long-term wear.
Abstract:
A variety of embodiments are disclosed, in both apparatus and method form, that relate to the use of fabric material in the manufacture of an air bag deployment system. In addition, fabric weakening is disclosed according to a technique that does not result in physical alteration of the fabric. This invention therefore includes an air bag cover for an air bag safety system for a vehicle comprising a fabric outer layer having a frontside and a backside and a substrate containing an opening wherein the opening has a periphery. The substrate is preferably formed by low pressure molding, wherein the fabric outer layer overlies the opening in the substrate, and wherein the fabric outer layer is weakened at a location that is adjacent or overlies the substrate opening periphery.
